PROBLEMS

CARRY OVER QUESTIONS WERE CONFUSED AND DELETED SOME OF MY INFORMATION WHEN SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO ANSWER. BOTH OPTIONS SAID YOU CARRIED FORWARD INFORMATION BUT IF I HIT CONTINUE YOU WOULD ERASE IT, AND YOU DID.
ALSO, OLDER VERSIONS AUTOMATICALLY UPDATED BUT THIS YEAR I WASNT EVEN GIVEN THE OPTION TO UPDATE. I DID UPDATE THROUGH THE DROP DOWN MENU AND THERE WERE 9 UPDATES APPLIED TO MY RETURN.
What's not so great: CAPITOL GAINS SECTION

I've used TurboTax since before dial-up. Before that, I prepared my taxes myself. I'm a stickler for detail and accuracy and TurboTax delivers both. I can save and print my return. It's worth the cost, if not for the preparation help, then for the time saved. I also appreciate being kept aware of the status of my return. I have everything where I can access it. No worries!
What's great about it: Easy access to tax forms and updates. Expert advice on every issue.
What's not so great: Difficult to find community property calculation until the very end of tax prep.

Easiest tax software to use...period!

I was told by a friend that he got a larger refund with another tax company online. I tried that other company and got the same listed amount of refund. The only difference is that it took me 4 times longer to do the other tax companies program, it was very difficult, and it did not walk me through all steps of my taxes like TurboTax does. Specifically, the itemized deduction portion of TurboTax rocks and makes that other tax software look like junk. I have used TurboTax for 12 years now and will never try another again! Thank You TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy software to use.
What's not so great: Updates can take some time.

I NEED LESS TAX.

What's great about it: TAX ME NOT.
What's not so great: TOO MUCH TAX
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Super easy!

There are so many items I would not have thought about on my own. Turbo Tax made filing my return so fast and easy. I liked the way everything was explained step-by-step.
What's great about it: Every screen had an explanation about the questions being asked. This made it easy to understand.

Excellent overall...

...but if you did not get a refund in 2012, it can be tricky to enter your direct deposit info if you're getting a refund this year. This has been an issue since I started using TurboTax 10 years ago. It's getting better, though. Or maybe I just got used to opening "forms" and manually entering the info.
