This is the 2nd year in a row that I was unable to efile state return for free. Was unable to get a response last year. Maybe this year will be different??
If not able to secure response or reimbursdement I will be switching to another software product next year
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: No free state e file

Been using for years. Easy to use and understand. This year complications with 2106 form and could not e-file. TurboTax Techs could not fix problem. Had to paper mail. Not sure if I will return.
What's great about it: easy and simple to understand
What's not so great: cannot change 2106 to pass error check. Charge for direct deposit.

I like sticking with Turbo Tax as I always know it will be easy to follow.
What's great about it: It is easy, and well explained
What's not so great: Need a section for Retiree's where the education and employment questions could be skipped
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use. There are a couple of places that I wasn't sure what to do. Such as no clear place as to where car taxes went . There was a place for property tax, like plane, boat, etc and there was a place for real estate tax and other property tax. I guess It doesn't matter because is all came out in the tax box on line 9, schedule A, but I spent a lot of time going back and forth with it. There were a couple of other issues like that but all in all pretty self explanatory.

After updating Turbo Tax, it was difficult to get back to where I needed to continue working on my taxes.
What's great about it: Step by Step guidance
What's not so great: Some of the forms were not available initially and had to update the software.
