Have used TurboTax for many years. Very easy and complete.
What's great about it: Very easy to complete.

what a disappointment

I have used this product for many years with great success. Big fan always suggest this product to others. However, I didn't like getting to the end of a return and having to reinstall because of your software failure
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: had problems e filing because of software issue in turbo tax with Macs

I have a disability annuity I receive prior to retirement age. TurboTax handles it correctly with ease by taking it as wages and not unearned income which another software didn't. The only thing I still get a little confused on is the IRA's, rollovers etc. I'm not 100% confident I'm answering correctly on distributions. Had qualified 457, rolled over to IRA. Took advantage of the 2yr split to roll into ROTH and pay taxes on it rather than later when rates will be higher. This yr I took a 2k distribution. It didn't hit me with penalties so I'm not sure that's correct. Confusing.... Everything else I'm confident it is correct. I've only had one issue one year that I had to call in on and it turned out to be a program issue. I use TurboTax rather than long hand anymore since my taxes became more complicated. Saves me a lot of time and grief!!
What's great about it: It is basically a walk in the park. If you have your papers in order and are prepared it's a snap
What's not so great: I admit when the purchase comprised my fed and one state for the price I was much happier!!!

Doesn't remember my bank account for the state, but does for the Fed. The last 2 times I got an error that made no sense and I had to spend an hour or two to resolve. And quit asking for my contact info every time I start back up - just allow me to skip it permanently.
What's great about it: Carries over from previous year
What's not so great: Always has a gotcha that stops the return dead in it's tracks.

Have new computers in the home none of which have CD drives. Had to borrow a computer to file since we had already made the CD purchase.
What's great about it: Paid for Efile with purchase of CD
What's not so great: A download instead of a CD would have been better

I've had very good experiences with Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Last year when I had a problem Turbo Tax was there to walk me through it. I was very confident in their expertise. I recommend Turbo Tax to anyone that will listen to me!
