Software was easy to use, but each time Turbo Tax attempted to save my work it failed to save. A manual save always worked. I do not undertsand this problem

Easy to navigate but E-FILE deceiving

I purchased a software version (CD) but was surprised to find that there was no option to use the online version of Turbo Tax. My new computer doesn't have CD ROM, so I had to resort to an old PC for filing. The two years prior I used the online version. I could not find out how to get the online versions to pull into the software version, so I had to start an entirely new return. I was also disappointed to find that E-File on State returns costs money. I look back at the CD case and it says "Plus federal e-file" which is obvious in hindsight. Still wasn't what I thought I was getting. Overall though, it is easy to do and beats paying a CPA.
What's great about it: Easy to Navigate and real time updates to refund
What's not so great: E-File is not free; software version does not include option to use online

May not use next year

The tax program is easy to use but I believe I am missing deductions. It told me I did not qualify for the EIC because I made more then the program showed my income as less?? Then it would not deduct the filing expenses because I did not itemize and I did. Very frustrating!! II had to review my return several times before I was somewhat confident. And the page was running script errors all the time. Next year I will be looking for other options.
What's great about it: somewhat easy to use
What's not so great: certain error codes did not make sense! deductions hard to find

Easy to use - have been using it for years

Easy to use, we've have been using it for years. I like it because of the easy, step by step instructions and when needed the definitions are included, easy to retrieve forms and the state return is only a click away. We don't argue over who is going to do the taxes we simply flip a coin.
What's great about it: Easy, step by step instructions and definitions are included too

Quick and easy

I've used TurboTax the last 4 years and have been very pleased with the ease of doing my taxes. The steps are easy to follow and makes doing taxes less of a chore.
What's great about it: Alerted me of refunds I didn't know I had coming.
What's not so great: None

Could have been worse

Charged to purchase the program, Charged to fill out forms in each state, charged again to file those same forms in each state. Can't seem to file only Federal at this time , have to pay to file a return where none is needed,
What's great about it: Fast, private, simple.
What's not so great: Expensive ,
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy as usual

Easy to use and they walk you through every detail. They seem to improve it every year.
What's great about it: Walks you through each step. If you stop, it takes you back to where you left off.
What's not so great: Made a mistake saying no debit payment to pay taxes. Couldn't find where to go to to correct it.

Turbo Tax 2013

All in all an easy program to use. I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and very happy with the speed and accuracy of the forms and data entry. The Its Deductible add on is very helpful and was much smoother this year. Last year I had some problems getting it to work properly so entered information directly onto the tax forms.
The step by step feature allows me to work through all possible deductions and income sources without worry that I will miss something because I am in a rush or not paying attention. However, for those that know exactly what they want to do you can bypass the step by step feature.
The double checks and help provided made getting an accurate return very easy. Thanks, S
What's great about it: easy to use, fast.
What's not so great: theft losses could use more explanation, some charitable deduction duplication of data
