I have used turbo tax for years. I love it
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Solid as a Rock

I never go wrong with Turbo Tax. I have been for years 9 when it only came on a 3.5 " floppy) and always will be a devoted customer.
What's great about it: Reliable, easy, safe

thank you hardest part is getting my computer to go fast enough and to have enough space so i can import last yrs taxes.
What's great about it: asks all the right questions and ready with all updates easy to correct
What's not so great: hard to find at this point honestly beats using the NYS software anytime

Military Return

TurboTax was a very straight forward and to the point program. However, it is slightly confusing if you are military. It asks for your legal residence (which is typically your home of record) but if you click the option to say you did not live in your legal resident state you have to have a date in which you became a legal resident in the current state that you are living in (which you technically don't claim because you are there due to temporary stationing). I hope that makes sense. We also had a minor issue because of the Homebuyers Tax Credit. It asked if we had received it (which we had a couple years ago) and asked if we still lived there (we don't). It then told us that we had to put in a date in which we vacated the house and it had to have been in the current year (we moved in 2012). All we had to do was to preview that tax packet that would be submitted for filing and delete the form.
All that to be said, I would definitely use TurboTax again.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate. Short and to the point.
What's not so great: Slightly complicated for military. No live chat available for help.

Great Product

I have been using Turbo Tax for 7 years now and I love it!! Tax law is way too confusing but this program makes it easy for anyone to understand

What's not so great: Not enough info on self employment on Deluxe

Taxes are done!

I have used Turbo Tax for 10 years and I'm very impressed with this program, expecially considering how complicated our tax laws are. The program walks me through the process with good explanation of everything, and it makes sure I don't forget any information. Very happy with this and I'm always recommending this service when ever income tax returns are brought up in conversation.
What's great about it: Walks you through the process
What's not so great: Can be a slighlty buggy, but nothing their help menu doesn't cure.
