Great Program

I have been using TurboTax for many years. It is easy to use and never had problems doing my taxes. Even when my situation changed from working to retirement the forms were there to enter the information.

trouble validating

when I tried to efile, kept getting error, "can't validate, need update" but there was no update! I eventually got it to work by trying over and over. I printed everything out thinking I would have to file by mail. What a waste of paper and ink!
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: communication problem with server, couldn't efile

Let's you absorb the information at your own pace.
What's great about it: Efficient; easy to get explanations; hard to make a mistake.
What's not so great: Comments about maximizing the refund isn't necessary.

Use only with windows operating system

I have used Turbo Tax for years - it really is the best tax program available. However, this year I used an Apple Mac computer and discovered that the tax returns cannot be transmitted electronically. The problem is so intractable, I completed redid the returns on a windows based computer, on which the program performed flawlessly as always. Don't use Turbo Tax on Apple/Mac OS.
What's great about it: best software for taxes
What's not so great: does not work on Apple / Mac computers

QUICK AND EASY

I collected and added up all income and deductions ahead of time to make it easy. Went into the program and it was a snap. Imagine getting both Federal and State returns done in 2 hours.
What's great about it: Covered everything. Be sure to prepare info ahead of time to make it easy
