Great tool to use

Last years taxes was performed by hand and I had to go through quite a few publications /instructions and forms. Not so with the software: information flow quite nicely and was covered as to filing information
What's great about it: Did not have to jump through forms and publcations to get information

Turbo Tax failed me

I was not able to e-file and this is one of the reasons I chose Turbo Tax. I received a message saying that I needed to download the software update, which was done when the disc was inserted. I went back and checked for further updates and was told that there were none available. After several attempts, I had to mail my returns.

Filing is Scary

Everything was good until it was time to print my return to file by mail. The program would not allow me to do this. The program kept asking for a pin number for e-filing. I checked, double checked, triple checked. I had it right, but you program failed. It's scary now wondering if the remainder of the program has more glitches like this.

I like turbo tax, and have used it for years. What happened to the ability to easily review the effect of filing married and joint versus married filing seperately??
What's great about it: Ease of use, accuracy, reminders of tax events I may have overlooked
What's not so great: Comparison of joint vs married and seperate require filling out additional 'estimated' returns

Great Refund

I did my friends taxes for her and it was somewhat easy but did have some search issues is all. I also wish you could have more banking and credit unions on your list... It would be nice if it was a little more clear on each question for those of us that are slow. Thank you for your time

Incredibly Simple

I have reasonably simple taxes to file... I have a job, I have a small stock account, and I have some retirement savings.
Rather than gathering up tons of documents, year after year, and dealing with an accountant... I imported everything from last year, answered a few simple questions, and was even lucky enough to get a refund. Took me (much) less than an hour. Can't complain one bit.
What's great about it: Quick, Painless importing of W2s and 1099s, Free e-Filing
What's not so great: (Can't think of any cons)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Overall a good system.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Liked info. from prior year and downloads.
What's not so great: Let people know that you can correct stste data at the end of the process.
