I had entered data for over an hour when I was aware of flags on investment areas. After finding a remark to go online for software updates on that area, I did. Getting back to return, all data had been lost, even though I had saved it.

I liked it better when you were shown the previous years' totals for each entry. It helped to show you how things were going--up or down.

Turbo Tax is great but one little detail... it would be nice if there was a way to access Federal Tax ID #'s for the various State Treasury Departments. I had to leave that section blank because I had no idea how to locate that Fed Tax ID #
What's great about it: i like the fact that you can have no knowledge of accounting and tax prep

FAiled to work properly on donations

Although program allowed entry of a donation of 2 antique crocks correctly with comparison sale valuation, error check indicated 98 errors. When this item was removed - no errors. This is a glitch in the program.
What's great about it: Downloads last years information
What's not so great: Donation to charity not thru It's Deductable seen as an error

I don't have any idea what is meant by the "Simplified Method" associated with an Office of Personnel Management annuity. With the instructions provided by Turbo Tax it is impossible to complete my return without "errors."
It is impossible to determine whether we were getting NY State credit for our long term care premiums. An erronious K-1 screen appears when I try to enter the amount of these premiums; there is no way to proceed in a logical way after that.
