A Relief

Turbo tax allows me to do a thorough job without taking all day. It's a relief to have the taxes done and filed.
What's great about it: Comprehensive list of income and deductions. Direct debit option for paying taxes was helpful.
What's not so great: Could provide a bit more help with a K-1 used for an trust distribution

Painless Process!

Overall I think this is at least the 4th or 5th year I've used TurboTax. It takes me through the process without any hiccups or frustrations. Thank you!

Trouble filing electronically

Wouldn't file 1st 3x electronically on Feb 17 . Checked Jan. 31 support; found answer; and followed suggestions. Submission was then fine. Not good to see that pop-up when there is so much ID theft. If suggestion worked, why no fix?

The best part of Turbo Tax is that you can always see your Refund / Tax Liability at the top of the screen which is based upon the information you provide.
What's great about it: Interactive Refund always shows at the top of the screen.

This was my first time to use TurboTax. It was a great experience and easy to use. The system led you through the forms and kept you up to date on how you were doing.
I would have liked to see a bit more of specialized deductions for different occupations. My occupation has special deductions that I had to research to know that I get them. This made a difference in the return I got. I also would have liked to have been able to see where I can get the information from last years return on all the entries...so that I could have been able to transfer some information from last years returns...or at least see where the differences between last year and this year were.
All in all...it was a good product and I will use it again next year.
What's great about it: Easy to follow along and enter in the information
What's not so great: Did not have specific information for special exemptions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Minor bump

I've used TT for 12 years and love it. I can't imagine going back to doing my taxes by hand - just try reading the Educational Credit form's instructions .
My one complaint this year relates to the calculation of estimated tax payments. During the data entry for this section, I provided the amount that we anticipated would be withheld from my spouse's wages. Yet the calculation directed me to make estimated tax payments equal to the total tax due for the year - despite the fact that withholding would already cover more than 1/3 of the total due. Had I followed your directions, we'd have WAAAAY overpaid our taxes for 2014.
