ONLY WAY TO FILE TAXES

HAVE USED TURBO TAX SINCE 2007 AND WOULDN'T FILE ANY OTHER WAY. VERY SATISFIED, EASY TO WORK WITH.

Not as happy with 2013 tax year version

Previous versions of Turbo Tax have been easier to understand and navigate. No explanations for differences between items that were completed last year, but not this year. First 'review' came back as correct, even though I had clearly missed several areas that had been populated last year. Not very impressed with this software this year.
What's great about it: Still easier than hand-writting it.
What's not so great: Did not import W-2 info, missed may auto populate areas, confusing

Words Fail Me

I was always fearful of completing my own taxes because the tax language led me to believe I would make plenty of mistakes and be audited. Much to my surprise, Turbo Tax lessened my stress with simple explanations and a walk through of each question presented. I have saved myself so much money with Turbo Tax and would defiantly continue to recommend it to anyone who has pretax jitters like myself and would like to stop paying these tax preparers so much money for something we can do ourselves with the right software and a little courage.
What's great about it: Everything about it was simple and fully explained
What's not so great: nothing it was everything I needed and cost efficient

My 8th year using Turbo Tax, what more can I say. Very easy, have never had any problems.
What's great about it: Very easy
What's not so great: Some lanquage too technical
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

We use Turbo Tax every year and love it.
A friend who works for the IRS recommended it years ago and I never regretted using the software.

Easy to use

If you have to go back and change something it is not easy. Sometimes you have to go back into the forms to change.
What's great about it: Straightfoward
What's not so great: Picked wrong year of prevous educatonal credit and it took a while to figure out how to change

1099-DIV foreign income and taxes should be easier to enter for my RIC investments with Merrill Lynch.
What's great about it: Easy and quick to work with
What's not so great: Always have probs with 1099-DIV related to foreign income and taxes on my RIC Merrill Lynch Mutual Funds.
