This used to be the best diet soda of any kind. The last batch I bought had an awful burnt caramel taste instead of a vanilla taste as it has for the past year or more. I wrote Sodastream thinking it was a bad lot but the replacement they sent me tasted just as bad. I like some of the other flavors as well and hope they do not ruin those also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great for mixing with other flavors!

I remember having a soda at a restaurant that they called Orange Float or something like that. I found that I can mix a little of this with the Diet Orange and it tastes just like that fabulous restaurant soda (and this one has the added benefit of being sugar free). From here on out, I always buy a couple of bottles of Diet Cream Soda. It also mixes well with the Diet Root Beer for a kind of Root Beer Float flavor.

There's definitely something "off" about this one. Hopefully they will change it or come out with a "Naturally Sweetened" diet alternative with a different taste.

I was disappointed in the diet cream, I love most of the diet flavors. Someone on facebook suggested adding a bit of vanilla extract and it really improves the taste, judy a few drops per litre. Maybe the recipe could be changed.

I have been drinking this for mos. I was raised in NY where cream soda was King! It was also the base of a good old fashioned NY Egg Cream, which doesn't contain any egg. I only like artificially sweetened sodas and then only good ones. I've never before found a diet cream that I could swallow, much less drink regularly. Maybe I'm just too used to artificial sweeteners, but I think that this is really good. Even if I am very used to artificial sweeteners, I prefer this to any other diet cream I have tried. I have seen bad reviews on this and yes, it does have a somewhat different taste than non-diet versions, but corn syrup tastes different than the old drinks that used sugar too.

My first bottle, bought from a major online retailer, tasted burnt and really nasty. I called sodastream customer service and was pleasantly surprised by the csr who replaced it for me. This stuff is great. I had stomach surgery and can't have fizzy drinks anymore. The sodastream syrups have been a great replacement, ice cold flat soda. Yum.

When I first ordered my soda stream machine, I ordered diet cream soda. OMG! It was wonderful! It was liking having dessert. And it was caffeine-free, too. Unable to find diet cream soda in nearby stores, I ordered it again online. Worth every penny. Plan to stay stocked on this product.
