As reviewed by other satisfied customers, I am also happy and contented with the features and performance of my new XP-420. It's an excellent printer for personal use. It can produce quality photo prints too.

A simple printer for the home office with cartridges that are not too expensive to replace.

This product has good features and I am familiar with EPSON printers as this is my third so far.

Epson products are good and easy to use. I am familiar with them. This is my third printer and the other two EPSON printers simply malfunctioned and I could not move away from EPSON products.

No black and white printing

I am still struggling to find how can I change the print setting to grayscale.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry to hear you're having issues. If you open the printer driver, there is a checkbox option to enable Greyscale printing. If you're still having problems, please contact our technical support people on 1300 361 054 or visit http://tech.epson.com.au/ for installation guides, drivers, S/W, manuals and support videos.
