I also like the rounded edges so I can use it to curl. The led display is large and easy to see. Overall, it’s a really good quality straightener.

The smooth glide makes it so easy to use and doesn't leave my hair feeling damaged. My hair feels so much softer and smoother when I use this product. I love that my hair holds all day after using this flat iron. This flat iron has surpasses my expectations and I highly recommend this product.

Really good flat iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have long, frizzy, color-treated hair so I wasn't certain that this flat iron would be able to work on my hair because most of the time, the mainstream flat irons don't work for me. I must say that I ended up being very pleasantly surprised. It exceeded my expectations and I am thrilled to find a more cost efficient flat iron that actually works well on my hair.
As for the flat iron itself, this thing heats up super quickly. I have had flat irons that you have to leave and come back to later in order for them to be the right temperature. This one was ready to use in no time at all. The package says that it heats up in 15 seconds and that is very accurate. There is no wait time at all with it. You basically plug it in, set it to the desired temperature and it's ready to go. I had a bit of a hard time trying to determine the correct temperature for my hair. My hair is color treated and the instructions say to use it at 340-380 degrees. However, it is very thick and frizzy and it says that thick hair should be used at temps of 400-450 degrees. I decided to use it at 400 degrees and that really worked for my hair without making it feel like it was burning it. I love the digital temp that tells you the exact degree of heat that you are using on your hair.
The 1" is small but I found that it was easy to use once you separate your hair into sections. I didn't have to keep going over my hair. I would use it once and it was done for that section. I did notice that the tool didn't seem to clamp down on my hair very much. It was not tight when pulling it down my hair. I guess that doesn't make a huge difference but I'm more used to using one that really clamps down on your hair. There is an automatic shutoff mechanism that will turn off the appliance after 1 hour. I like this and have not attempted to leave it on one hour to see if it works or not but I like having this safety feature as peace of mind in case I do ever forget to unplug it.
The plates are supposed to be made with real crushed pearls. I don't know what all that means but I can honestly say that it really did straighten and smooth my hair. Remember, my hair is very frizzy and thick and after using the flat iron, my hair was so smooth and silky that I could hardly keep my hands from touching it. It made my hair look so much nicer and it lasted throughout the next day until I washed it. I would say to do a really thorough job, it took me about 10 minutes to straighten it which is pretty fast in my opinion. All in all, I highly recommend this flat iron and would recommend it to anyone that desires silky, smooth hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I fell in love with the Remington Pro since I was able to try it. I found it has multiple uses, and it's cute! Not only can I flat iron with it, I can create some quick curls. My hair glided right through, and my hair was left smooth and straight. The digital display was quite helpful at seeing the correct temp and letting me know it's heated up. It heats up in 15 seconds! The took me some time getting use to, but I love it! The flat iron also has a lock, so it stays closed and makes it easier to store. It has been enjoyable to use, and it has made a great addition to my hair styling tools!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great flat iron. I have had many flat irons and straighteners over the year. And I have used the larger Remington flat iron before. I have coarse/thick tightly coiled hair that I prefer to wear straight. This is a good flat iron for African American natural hair if you want to wear it straight. If you know what you are doing you can get salon results. Even with my hair I can get it straight with 1 pass or 2 at the most near the roots. I used it at its highest setting 450, but I would recommend you start lower and work your way up depending on your hair texture. The iron glides very smoothly and it is very easy to use. I love that it has a digital display so you know that you have the correct temperature. It also makes a beep noise once it reaches the desired temperature setting which occurs very quickly. And it has an automatic shut off feature if you forget to turn it off. I also appreciate the long cord that doesn't get tangled. I would definitely recommend this flat iron if you are looking for an economical option to achieve a "salon" straight look.

The design is sleek and easy to hold while styling your hair. The ceramic plates straightened my hair quick and left it looking sleek and well styled. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the small and compact size of this iron. It is so easy to carry around and does not take up too much space. It heats up quickly and works well to straighten even short hair. The Pearl Ceramic Technology is supposed to reduce damage and frizz- I can definitely vouch for the no frizz aspect. Hair is straight and smooth after usage. Overall, I've been using this iron with a good quality heat protectant and am quite happy with the results.
