Not integrated with Samsung TV remote

I have purchased all Samsung home theater products because they all work together. I was very disappointed to find out that my Samsung TV remote cannot control my Samsung soundbar.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight
Cons: tv integration
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't use TV remote for volume control (even Samsung TV)

Great sound, but poor, shortsighted feature design. The remote!
No HDMI interface...therefore you can't use your Samsung TV remote to control volume level. Samsung knows they use "Anynet+" to allow one remote to control multiple devices, but they did not incorporate HDMI in this design.
At least the remote design could have operated on the same code for volume and channel. They do let the limited button Home theater remote control some TV features, but you will still need more than 2 remotes to watch your shows and appreciate the other Smart TV features.
Huge oversight on Samsungs part...return tomorrow to buy another brand....who would of thought Samsung Soundbars will not interface with Samsung TV

We are a mature couple in our 70's. We were having trouble hearing dialogue in movies and overcoming the higher volume in the music using our Samsung TV. The music in some movies quite often overwhelmed the dialogue. Your new "Crystal" audio and the "3D" feature in this sound bar is sensational in fixing these issues. The clarity of the sound is superb and you have helped an old couple enjoy today's technology to its fullest

Poor quality, poor design of remote control

The volume periodically spikes. It's just for a second or two but enough to be annoying. And when it's not annoying, the sound quality is only marginally better than the TV's speakers. Also the remote is poor. It has a channel button, which only makes sense if someone has a Samsung TV AND is using the TV's tuner. For the other 95% of us who have a satellite or cable box, the button is worse than useless. Because if you accidentally press it, it also sets the TV's source to the TV's tuner, thus turning off the picture for satellite or cable box users. Finally, I could not find a way to control the unit via my universal remote. I tried using all the published codes, the remote's manual search feature with no success.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product sound & looks are good! But, VERY disappointed that my Directv Remote can not be programmed to control the HW-D450 Sound Bar. No other All-In-One remote can be programmed to control the HW-450 either due to a special IR used by Samsung with the HW-D450.... Way to go Samsung. This is first time I have been disappointed with you!

all know that flat screens leave alot to be desired on sound this sound bar absolutely rocks tv / blu ray / games

The HW-D450 is the perfect addition to my Samsung LED TV. Its sleek design made it easy to mount below the TV which provides a clean and very professional look. The wall mount and optical connections made it easy to mount and connect to my TV. The HW-D450 works well with my internet music Apps and fills the room with a high quality digital sound. With the great purchase price, wireless Sub and no interference with my Wi-Fi I am very happy with my purchase.

Big Sound, Little Space, Lots of Happy Faces

I have this product connected to my 52" LED TV by Samsung and I love it. The sound is great, the bass is great, the fact I can plug a iPod, Zune, Cell Phone straight into makes life great! I just love it sooo much. The only thing I was not happy about is that the sound blows out after a certain level.
Pros: thin, loud, great bass, sleek, easy to use
Cons: sound blows out at high volume
