We have two units. We bought the second one (same model) because we enjoyed the first one. Unfortunately, this second unit has some defects. The electric wire is not grounded and is noticeably thinner (like a lamp wire rather than a heavy duty cord). And when you turn the power knob to MIN the light for MED is illuminated. It is not clear which mode the heater is in. These two things together make me a little concerned for the quality and safety of the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best way to supplement zoned heating systems

With increasing energy costs over the past year and the expected skyrocking costs of the 2023 winter I've decided to better manage heating my home. I use mica thermic heaters as room space heaters when temps fall rather than raising the household thermometer. This year I'll be reducing overnight temps and thought the Dragon4 Programmable Radiator TRD40615T6A would be a great way to warm up the kitchen as household evening temps are lowered and again just before I awake in the morning. I have a couple radiator heaters already and they're reliable and cost effective means to warm up spaces. But mine are not programmable. The Dragon4 fits the bill perfectly. I like being able to program my two time periods and forgetting about things and simply enjoy the welcoming warmth of the kitchen late at night or early in the morning. I also like that I can override those two programs and simply use the radiator as additional daytime heat when temps really drop. I've always bought Delonghi heaters. Their products and service are most reliable. Thanks Delonghi!

Warm and Toasty in no Time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect time of year to use my DeLonghi Dragon TRD40615T Full Room Radiant Heater. I was able to use it right out of the box with no set up required. It is highly recommended that you use it on a flat surface as the outside does get hot to the touch. Make sure that there are no objects within 3 feet of the unit when operating it. My wood floor did get a little warm under the unit while I had it running, but that was to be expected. The unit itself is easy to operate with only three controls. I was able to choose my temperature then whether I wanted it on Min, Med or Max power. I was also able to set the timer for how long I would like it to run. It was very simple and within 5 minutes of turning it on it was radiating heat from the top of the heater into my room. I like that this system is very quiet and makes no noise while operating. This heater will heat rooms up to 144 square feet which is nice. The heater is well made and very durable. The permanently sealed oil reservoir never needs refilling, so it is basically maintenance free, with the exception of wiping it down if it gets dusty. It has four wheels, one on each corner, this made it easy to roll around my room. The unit comes with a six foot cord which was plenty long enough to reach my outlets. There is also a place to wind and store the cord when the system is not in use. Another great function of this model is the antifreeze function. I have not had to use it yet, but when set it will keep the temperature at 41F to prevent freezing. If you are looking for an easy to operate full room radiant heater to warm you up then I recommend the DeLonghi Dragon TRD40615T Full Room Radiant Heater.

warmed up our garage

It's easy to use and warms the area I'm working in nicely (it's a 2 car garage w/loft). The heater never overheated and it came with a 6ft cord so I was able to move it as I moved. The oil reservoir is sealed so you never have to refill it making this optimal for any large room, that is cold during most of the day, as you will never have to worry about running out.

Lots of heat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the DeLonghi Radiant Hester from the Try It Community. It does wonders in my house. I have an older home that we're trying to bring up to code. It has a lot of leaks in certain rooms and this heater keeps them comfortable. The only thing that worries me is that we have animals and have to make sure they don't knock it over or get to close. I really would have liked some type of sensor to turn it off if knocked over.

Strong Yet Quiet Heater!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband suffered 2 minor strokes a couple of years ago AND is diabetic. He is always cold This heater is a life saver! He said it is the QUIETEST heater we've ever gotten and he is correct. It's almost soundless! The look and feel of the heater is nice. However, we would appreciate if the engraved settings in the knobs were either bigger or printed on in a darker ink rather than engraved, as it was hard to see the characters on the knobs when changing settings The wheels on the heater were nice, but a small handle would be even better. Currently, we push the heater around the room as needed, but a handle would help those with limited mobility pull the heater around more easily and efficiently. Great QUIET heater that heats up a room fast! Would definitely recommend this product to friends and family.

Heats great The best heater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product because it works so well and it has the best features on it. The timer is so accurate and easy to set as long as you read the directions. The directions for use are easy to follow. It suppose to heat a big room but it heats a whole floor and I don’t have a really huge house but it’s a big house and the heater heats my whole upstairs on medium I haven’t had to use the high setting yet because it works that good. I would definitely recommend this heater especially if you’re wanting to heat a small apartment or just a room because you’ll have a comfortable warmth.

Too Hot for Comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sides of this unit get VERY HOT. The cord on this unit gets VERY HOT. The outlet the unit is plugged into gets VERY HOT. I have 4 cats that do occassionally move around and I do not trust that they wouldn't get injured if they accidentally bumped into the unit. I also, being disabled, have limited feeling in my legs/feet and would be worried that I would accidentally bump into this unit and burn myself without realizing it due to it being a larger unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
