Touch Screen BAD
on January 4, 2010

The phone had alot of potential. With the ATT TV, Music, touch, video. The phone has a big flaw, the touch screen. It starts out early on with little slips, and grows to become unusable. Hopefully the next generation will fix this major flaw.
Pros: Style/Design
Cons: Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some Things I don't like.
on July 8, 2009

I have had this phone for about 3 months now. First of all, its touch screen is great. Its sensitive enough, but not too sensitive. I like how the lock button is not like sticking out, because if I put it in my pocket it won't unlock and call people or whatever. The Text messaging is alright. Sometimes when I go to reply it gets off of T9 Abc and goes back to abc and I have to switch it back. I don't like how you have to press a button to get to the QWERTY keyboard. The settings are okay, but you cannot personalize it. Theres only one shortcut menu, but that covers up your background, and you cannot personalize what goes on it. The scrolling is the wrong way! I always get confused with my iPod touch and my VU! I hate how I can't veiw some pictures that are from my memory card, I can't listen to the music I downloaded, because its "Unacceptable Content". Sometimes it won't set ringtones because "the file is too large" I used to have a Samsung a737 and it could do lots of things this phone cannot. Which dissapoints me, other LG phones can do things this one cannot. And I like LG. I won't get another phone unless it is an LG. Sometimes my screen fades to white. Sometimes to black. Sometimes the phone freezes up.
I don't think this phone is user friendly if you are always always using it. And thats not something I like in a phone, because I text alot.
Fix a few things in this phone, throw some new features in it, and it would be great.
Pros: easy to use, Style/Design
Cons: Features/Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this phone for two days now and have already discovered its flaw. It will shut its self off after a hour or so if it is not used, even if the battery is full. I have discovered that it is related to the micro SD card type and or formatting. It is a big problem that has not been addressed yet. I discovered that the battery will discharge quickly during the problem with the micro SD card. There needs to be a software update or a recall for this problem. Otherwise the phone is good.
Pros: easy to use

LIFE'S NOT GOOD

I have had this phone for little over a year and I am starting to have some serious problems with this phone. If the phone is not pluged in it will not keep a charge, I can text for about one min and talk for about 45 sec. I also know three other people with this phone and they are haveing the same problems. Before someone say change the battery, did that, that is not it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE. If it was just me I would say maybe just a bad one but three other people same problems not good!!!!
Pros: easy to use, Style/Design
Cons: Value, Features/Settings

A good purchase!

I initially had a problem where the phone would not accept a PNY micro SD memory card and would periodically turn itself off. not sure if the problem was the chip or the phone. After replacing the micro SD card with a Sandisk it has been working perfectly.
Some of the problems I read about in the other reviews can be fixed by adjusting the appropriate program settings.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

I purchased this phone for the Value and all the features that it had. I wanted a touch phone but didnt want to pay the competitor's pricing. I originally charged the phone using my data cable and by the end of one day it shut down. I then charged it with the ac adapter charger and it has stayed good for over two days before losing a mark. The other comments I had read was the battery was the main problems with this phone. So far so good. I liked mine so well I had to buy my significant other one just like it.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Do not purchase unless you want problem after problem. I've had nothing but trouble with mine. Battery problems, touch screen problems, speaker, camera, 3G, text messaging (not sending/receiving in 3G), calling (unable to call/receive calls in 3G), SIM card... You name it, this phones got it. In problems.
Pros: paperweight

I have had this phone for a little bit over a month, and I love it. There is one little snag though, I have a memory card for my phone, so I can play music. When I loaded the music on the memory card, everything was fine. Apparently the Vu decided to write protect the memory card. So now, I can't add or delete any files off of the memory card.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
