Over all great item for toddlers

Over all I love this item. I bought it to replace an old portable dvd player we had for our car. I had to rush to purchase it when taking a 12 hour road trip to Disney World. But I had already did extensive research on a new dvd just in case our old one died. The battery lasts around 2 and half hours. The gPames are simple and took my daughter (3 1/2 years old) a few weeks to learn the games and use the control (you only use half the buttons on the controler when playing the games) with me coaching her.
Only two draw backs:
1. The thin vehicle power adapter cable. (may break after a while) but that is common for portable dvd players to have thin cables.
2. Which is a big draw back for me is the fact you can't charge up the battery unless you turn off the dvd player. Would be better if its just charges the battery like a laptop computer so when you do turn off the power the player continues to run. (like when you are pumping gas, etc) This would also help for those vehicles with only 1 power outlet which they can switch electronic items out without fear of losing a movie or a game if not fully charged.

We have used this product for years. My dtr has autism & the protable dvd player is perfect for waiting areas, home, & car.

DVD is fine, Ames never worked right from the start

We bought this over another product because of the available games as a bonus to DVD playback. When we put the batteries in the controller and the game disk in, no luck. Tried different batteries and the disk is working fine, but controller does nothing. No help in the instructions or online.
Pros: dvd is good
Cons: game controller doesn't work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great...while it lasted...

We bought two of these in 2012 for my twins to use on the autotrain. Both of them worked great until last year on the trip, when one of them quit reading discs. The ONLY time my kids use these is our yearly trip on the train to Florida, so it's not like either of them have been used more than handful of times, and there has been no dropping of the units. I expected more from what I paid. I will not buy this product again.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: unreliable

Good Portable DvD player

I saw the product and buy it immediately, it is curious to see the reviews that my son is autistic and I find it an excellent device for keeping my son busy, games have beautiful background melodies that relax much. Thank you for the development of equipment so, I would ask only safer disc opening to prevent children from playing with or laser discs.
