ok but not great

i purchased the fridge and freezer together rather than purchasing a sub zero product mainly because of the extreme price difference. i also have your ice maker.
the product is ok but the front is way too difficult to keep clean. much more so than sub zero products i've owned in the past.
additionally, the drawers and baskets are abominable. i've had them replaced under warranty once already because they don't operate well and are crooked in their tracks etc. 2 months later the new drawers and baskets are doing it again. my wife wishes we had never purchased the products and can't wait for them to go out so we can buy new ones and honestly, as disappointed as she is i wish i had never purchased them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I needed to replace an old Sub-Zero but didn't want to spend a fortune and had to find a new freezer that would fit into the rather shallow space. The Electrolux I bought filled the bill in every way. I'm very pleased with its features and appearance.

Freezer

Looks great and shelving and drawers are good. Two really bad points: ice maker is awkward and poor quality. Have replaced it twice. It doesn't properly fit and ice always spills into the shelves.
Worst feature: door handle. It comes off. Screws strip out of the metal it is screwed into. There is no bolt to anchor it within the door. We had to take the door apart ourselves and put wood blocks behind it to anchor the screws

The design and storage space are well done. Huge amount of storage space. I like the digital temperature display and the alarm if it is open too long.

Excellent freezer for the price. Easy electronic controls work perfectly. Absolutely the best ice maker at any price. Vastly superior to Sub Zero. Very reliable so far.

Wow is what people say when they walk in the kitchen and see the freezer and frig side by side. Then they want to open the doors to look inside and they say wow again. This item looks like a bulit in, yet not at the cost.

good customer service and overall satisfaction

Overall we are definitely satisfied with our decision. We have just remodeled our kitchen and were looking for a custom built-in look without the price tag. We decided on the Electrolux because it was one step-up from the entry level and multiple dollars less than the next. My husband is a hunter and we also like to overcook then stock individual meals for later use. This freezer has plenty of storage space and a nice selection of compartments and door shelves. It's relatively quiet and fits very well into our kitchen design.
The built-in bezel wasn't exactly what we were expecting, we should have reviewed the specifications closer but it all worked out in the end.
During the first 2-3 months the compressor seemed to be running a lot. We called Electrolux Customer Service, they were helpful and courteous. They contacted a local service provider and they were out to see us within a week. The service man and I determined that initially the unit wasn’t full enough to keep the internal temperature down. He also explained that a compressor life-span is shortened by the amount of times it kicks on and off. The Electrolux model is built to run but at lower power levels to keep the motor from turning on and off so much. We’ve packed it full and it seems to be working fine now.
