Worked beautifully right out of the box! I love the slim silver frame so it's ALL picture. We have a 7 year-old 42" Bravia that's as good as new and I'm looking forward to the same great service with this one.

What a picture! We were looking at another SONY product that was not 4K but for $200 more we upgraded to 4K and couldn't be happier with the result. Streaming aps that come with this set are great too.

A couple of welcome surprises vs old 1080P Sony.

The picture quality of this 55" Sony is a huge improvement which was expected when receiving HD signals, but the real surprise came when viewing lesser quality signals, even when viewing early DVDs on the Sony Blue Ray machine - which was totally plug and play via the HDMI connections.

The quality of the Xbr55x800b is great. I was considering the xbr55x850c. I was told the ending letter b was a 2014 model an the c was a 2015 model. I opened my box and my tv xbr55x800b was made in March of this year. So my 2015 million pixel tv is perfect. I could not see the difference side by side in the store between the Xbr55x800b and the xbr55x850c. And the price was better for xbr55x800b.
My last tv in the famiky room was a 40 inch Sony lcd. The quality was great, but the 55 inch 4k clarity is amazing.
The 10 year lcd is still going strong and is now in the upstairs room for the grand kids. Thank you Sony for the quality, clairty and the long lasting performance in your tv's.
