No access to clean the drain filter

We had this machine new for over 5 years now... we got the extended warranty and had to call for the repair guy at least 3 times for the same error code which was slow draining... he replaced the parts twice. if this thing had access like other model to the drain filter it would be fine... now out of warranty I have will have to remove the top, circuit panel and then the whole front door just to clean out the filter to see if that corrects my problem.... Don't even buy a machine without access to clean the filter. What a horrible design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this year and a half ago. Love how it washes, but seal around door looks moldy in spots. I have wiped it down with bleach and leave door open. Also always has standing water under seal. Not draining all the water out. I have checked for debree and found none.

We do a lot of laundry and so far the Maytag has been excellent. Clothes come out clean and the spin cycle really gets so much of the moisture out that drying time is quite short.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good washer but needs to be "dried out" after use to prevent stagnant water in the drain area and the drawer for the soap and softener.

This washer is awesome. Well built. After a year of use my wife and I still mention to each other how pleased we are with it. The fresh hold function is something we wouldn't live with out again. If this washer died today we'd order the same one tomorrow.

My autistic son creates at least 4 loads of laundry every day on his own so I love the capacity of this washer. An average load in my old machine was half as many clothes as this one. I will never buy any other brand, and I LOVE the ringtones, we think it sounds like it's saying "the laundry is done"

Quiet, feature packed, great cleaning. Love the allergen cycle, helps with our two cats. Love doesn't have to be such a pain anymore! I was warned by many family and friends that front loaders had bad smells, but this unit has had none. The fresh keep cycle has been a miracle for a hectic life. Love this machine.
