Total package and impressive are enough definition to define this kind of camera, typing is not a problem cause my finger were enough to touch numbers and letters
Why i choose SH100 among competent camera in the market? Besides smart capabilities and sync availability, i also impress with the share capability. I love to share my glimpse around the world that's my way to make myself happy....
I originally purchased a different brand because it had been my camera of choice for years. I had some problems with it and since the model was not in stock, I chose the sh100. I really wasn't sure I would keep it, but I wanted to try the many features and thought I might exchange it once my brand/model came back in stock. The SH100 is jam packed with features. I especially love the wireless back up. The filters for both pictures and videos are fun and cool! Still, most importantly in my decision was picture quality. I really didn't think it could be better than what I was used to- but I was in for a pleasant surprise. I took a number of test shots, and the macro detail is astounding! I have always been pretty brand loyal, but I am now a convert. There is no way I am letting this camera go! The features and picture quality is in a class of its own.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, wifi, packed with features
1- The product comes with a CD, but the IntelliStudio is not on it. You have to install it by plugging the camera in. That's a little weird and unexpected.
2- There was a firmware update but the IntelliStudio had connection issues trying to download it. This is because the software tries to get to the Samsung site with a bad URL. I got around it, but most folks won't be so lucky.
3- I still haven't been able to hook up the WIFI. I tried two different routers with SSID broadcasted and not. It's a huge pain to type in the long password repeatedly over and over to try to get this to work. This is especially difficult because as you type in the password, it **** stars it out so it's difficult to verify when you are all done. This is very frustrating and annoying. I gave up trying to hook up the WIFI for now. The updated firmware did not help. WIFI was one of the selling points for this camera, but a few hours spent typing in passwords is discouraging.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, wifi setup difficult
This camera is great. I recently changed from that camera manufacturer beginning with "C" to this much smaller, much more user friendly, Samsung SH100. I love the wi-fi capabilities and the auto back up feature is great, especially for that person that never takes the flash card out of the camera to upload the pictures to their computer, namely me. The one negative is that it is almost too small for someone with larger hands, again me. I feel that I have to make a cognizant effort to ensure my finger isnt covering the flash or that once in a lifetime picture may be terrible. The pros heavily outweigh the cons and I would certainly recommend this camera to anyone that is looking for a user friendly, feature rich, compact camera.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, wi-fi, auto -backup
What great ideas for features in a camera. More expensive than the competition but I thought it would be worth it. NOT
App for cell phone only runs on Samsung I guess. Battery dies way too quick, even when not in use. Touch screen is lagging in response. Firmware will not update - as it seems is true for most or all Samsung cameras. Power button is too sensitive and turns on by accident often.
