This is my second Brother Printer that I have purchased. My first printer is the exact same model. We needed an additional laser printer in the office and I absolutely loved my first one so I ended up purchasing the exact same one for my sales staff. The only downfall with it is that it is a bit difficult to get set up. For my first printer I was running Windows 7 and I had difficulty setting that up. With my new printer I am running Windows 8 and again I had some difficulty with the setup. I ended up calling Brother support for help and they were able to get me up and running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Little Workhorse Printer

I purchased the MFC 9970cdw and am very pleased with the printer. It is actually a great printer, somewhat compact, not too heavy, and very easy to use. The color is really clear. The cartridges cost a bit more, but are worth the extra cost because the cartridges have a higher print capacity.
I did not go wrong when I purchased this printer.

Better than the MFC-9840CDW it replaced

Double side scan, extra capacity feeder tray, print speed, PC interface, noise level, standby power consumption, and digital control pad are all enhancements over previous model owned. Very happy with the MFC-9840CDW up to the point it failed, way out of warranty period, and could not be repaired. Part that failed was not considered to be a expected failure component and was not available. After considerable effort, and written letters to Brother Industries, LTD, chairman and executive board of directors, Brother provided a new printer as a replacement, at no cost. This is proof. at least to me, that the executive officers are avid believers in the standards of quality and customer service they advertise on their websites.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! I had a Brother 8844D for years & thought it was the best printer combo but I really needed a color printer so I checked all of them out & nothing beats a Brother! This printer is so easy to use! Does everything you can imagine. I would say this one is well worth the money!

Great All In One printer, but I could not get the software properly installed on my older PC which has Windows 7 installed. Therefore, I can only use the print functions except the Scan to PDF function. I use a MAC to scan to overcome this problem. The scan work on newer PCs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Marketing Printer/ document scanner

We are a small home health care business and needed a solid color printer for our marketing team which also has robust scanning capability for our in-house scanning needs.
The MFC_9970 CDW was perfect for our needs. We print what we need , when we need it and just the right nubmer of copies. This is huge for a business running on strict budget. It also gave us the ability to customize our marketing documents without having to mass print something may not use for future marketing events.
The best part of buying from Brother is the customer service. We had a broken glass on flatbed scanner and call support. The technician came the next day with the part and fixed it .
