A Great Purchase

This is a great printer. The quality and ease of use is great. For the volume of printing we do, its speed and quality of print meets our needs. We have several who have hooked up to it and they also enjoy the speed and the various functions it provides. Before we had an inkjet and were always running out of ink. This is great - not having to change ink cartridges every time you have a big print job to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome Printer

After much research, I found this printer to serve all my needs. It performs better that any HP printer I have owned and is fast. After a 10 second warmup time it spits out the pages fast and furious, even if duplexed. My concern prior to purchase was the duplex phase of this machine. Brother does not go into detail about this as others do. However, I took a chance and found it to be everything I wanted. If you set it up correctly, it will automatically print duplex. It will scan duplex upon direction. It is clear if you chose the correct selection. Many of my original issues were a result of the learning curve. I purchased the Fujitsu Scan-Snap prior to this for fast scanning. This machine is nearly as fast so I don't need it any longer. If you are searching for that ONE machine like I was-- you will not be disappointed, but rather, pleasantly surprised. Toner lasts a long time also.
The only downer is the weight and only a USB plugin, no SD plugins. But it will print from any tablet wirelessly!

We got this printer to print our wedding invitations, it was cheaper than ordering them, it was a great investment, it has so many functions, one of the features I love is the automatic feeder, I can scan from the automatic feeder, the resolution is good and printing in color is ok ( I have seen better, but is not bad). Sometimes I have trouble with the fax if you are faxing to an old fax.

Best All-in-One EVER

I have had several all-in-ones before but my Brother is by far the best. It just works. What else can you say. From faxing, scanning, printing it is awesome. I even had them buy it for work in our warehouse and they love it. Especially the ability to scan to a specific PC.

Great printer. Easy setup, fantastic output and flexible wired and wireless connection. Only negative is the manual is not great. Too many peripheral vendors spend all their time making sophisticated products and practically no time making training material for customers to take advantage of many of these features.???

Very Good, Not Outstanding

We got this color laser printer for my wife's real estate business.
It does great black and white copies and "OK" color copies. Speed is fine.
I was disappointed that after an easy set up, wirelessly, it "un-set" itself up and we had to go through some hassles to deal with it. Another annoyance was that it came with Paperport 12 and I already had Paperport 14 on my system, but when it set up, it didn't detect that and I ended up with a confused and conflicted system.
The cost of buying a new toner cartridge was a negative surprise.
I am a major fan of Brother products and have used them for years. I have had perhaps 5 MFC's over the years and will continue to buy, most likely.
This review is not intended to be a negative one. It's positive and I would purchase the product again and recommend it, as well. Just a few annoyances and surprises and "OK, not great" color reproduction.
I would recommend this to a friend!

win 7 no problems changed to win 8 pro problems firmware cant load wireless problems, please upgrade firmware and drivers as soon as you can
