Thanks for sharing your experience. If your grain isn’t milling down to a fine flour, there are a couple of adjustments that usually help.

Try setting the mill to its finest grind by turning the knob all the way to the Fine Grind symbol, then backing it off two clicks. This setting often produces a much smoother, finer result.

It also helps to brush out the burrs whenever you switch grains. The included brush works well, and a toothpick can be handy for clearing any little bits caught in the grooves. You’ll find these tips in your user manual too.

Some grains are naturally a bit tougher to mill super‑fine, but these tweaks usually make a noticeable difference. 😄

I bought this recently. Got it out to try today. Had to clean it before use and then dry properly. Annoying but not that bad. Tried to make rice flour. It came out sand textured. No matter how many times I ran it through or on what setting it either came out super gritty or clogged up the machine. Will try brown rice but does not work for white. Tried beans. They made a nice flour. And quinoa also made a nice flour.

Thanks for your review, it’s really helpful to hear how the mill is working for you.

If you haven’t already, try setting it to the finest grind by turning the knob fully to the Fine Grind symbol, then backing it off two notches. This would help. Be sure to brush out the burrs when switching grains. The included brush works well, and a toothpick can help clear any buildup in the grooves. Your user manual covers all these tips as well.

Some grains are naturally harder to mill finely, but these adjustments often improve the texture. 😁

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been please with the flour I've milled from wheat berries. To my eye the flour is near-indistinguishable from other high quality whole wheat flours I've purchased. Milling is not as quick as I'd expected, and a little grain remains unmilled below the auger which matters for small quantities measured up front. As an add-on to an existing stand mixer this is much more affordable and counter space efficient than purchasing a dedicated mill appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to from various grains for inclusion in my sausages, which I make using the Kitchenaid sausage maker, and also to make pasta, also made with the kitchenaid pasta making kits. The grain mill allows me to choose the grain size, a brilliant ability given the very limited grain sizes available in commercial stores, and also allows me to make amazing grain mixes for experimenting with torrent pasta flavours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've made a couple of batches of flour with the grain mill. The result is not as fine as I would like however I accept that this is not a stone mill - it is a metal auger and it won't grind the grain as finely.
I'm using Wheat Grain Correll Biodynamic from Sovereign Foods and made a couple of different style bread loaves. The mill works well although the loaf is a little heavier and a slightly less "bouncy" feel to the dough as it proves and doesn't show a lot of gluten development, which I think is due to the coarser grind.
I tried running the grain through on the coarsest setting first, and then again on the fine setting and this seemed to provide a better result than going straight to the fine setting. I then sieved the flour to remove any chunky bits and out of 500gm flour this was only about 10g. So overall a good result.
The mixer itself is doing a lot of work and gets reasonable hot which is why they specify to do a batch and then let it cool down.
Happy with the result overall though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so happy I've purchased this mill. Easy to store and works great. The bread is so much nicer with the freshly milled flour.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this attachment as I wanted to be able to grind and mix my own bread flour from grain. It works well and not as much time grinding as I had expected. The front select dial for size of grind is easy to use. The product is cast so no plastic parts. I did purchase this on sale so the price was very reasonable
