Ended up paying a little extra to get this fridge color/design and it was well worth it. Keeps things cold, plenty of space, quiet...excellent purchase, would buy again and recommend to others.
This refrigerator make a considerable amount of noise whenever the compressor goes on. The temperature is inconsistent within the unit. Set on maximum the top shelf ranges between 36 - 44 degrees. There is always a difference of 6 - 8 degrees between the top and bottom shelf. It has solid glass shelves which don't help. We use it for beverages but if you used it for food there would be a problem as it does not maintain the recommended refrigerator temperature (even at max setting). .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I installed this fridge on my enclosed porch in a summer kitchen I built. I like that it doesn't have a freezer because I just put drinks in it. It work great for a drink fridge. My only complaint is that it is much darker in color that other stainless steel appliances. I have a SS oven in the same kitchen and it doesn't match at all.
I had an issue with door reversal hinges not lining up properly which was very disappointing, but other than that I have nothing but good to say about this fridge and Danby customer service. Danby did everything in their power to help me resolve the door reversal problem but I believe just an unfixable manufacture defect. The fridge is perfect size, elegant finish, keeps perfect temperature, and quiet motor. I would highly recommend this fridge & Danby customer service.
Looked around and a small refer is hard to find without that little freezer that to me, is not very useful and takes up space that could be used for other things like beer. Thanks Danby for making a fridge that makes sense !
