More of a tablet than a phone

It's really more of a tablet than a phone. The operating system is very user friendly. It is just to heavy to be practical. The camera is very awkward to use. At the time I bought it my vision was limited due to cataracts. Then the large display was helpful. But now that my cataract fixed I find it too large and heavy to be practical .However if you are looking for a phone that doubles as a tablet then this is the phone for you. Also. the operating system it very intuitive and easy to learn. The overall quality of the phone and display is excellent
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: Too big

some great features, some seriously lacking

The note 3 is a bit of an enigma. On one hand, the media performance is spectacular and something to behold. Video and games as well as pictures look fantastic on the large, vibrant display (and the setting to change the color saturation to something closer to the hues of the real world is a plus). The processor rarely gets choppy and switching between activities quickly is a snap. As far as a media device goes, this phone is unparalleled.
That being said, the phone has some downsides. For one, the cellular antenna that allows you to get reception to make calls is troublesome, to say the least. I have to be in a certain part of my house to even get a signal at all sometimes! I will also have difficulty sending and receiving texts. The fact that the phone doesn't perform as well on these simple tasks is the truly disappointing thing about it. If call or text reception was good on this phone, I would recommend it to everyone I know. As it stands, I don't think I could recommend it to anyone because of the sheer frustration I have felt with calls and texts.

Great phone, does all I need it to do. Actually it does so much more. I should probably look for videos on the features. Why don't they have how to videos right on the phone? I almost never use the stylus, I forget it even has one.
Cons: too effing expensive.

Great Hardware Design

Very fast. Fabulous screen. Exceptional amount of internal memory (Google Kit Kat makes having an external SD card almost worthless, so don't buy any Android product because of its capability to support an external SD card). I have 244 apps, all running on internal memory and still have loads of "working" room.
The Samsung email client is responsible for my grading the product with less than stellar performance.
Two negatives relative to the Samsung email client:
(1) Samsung automatically deletes older email (though the algorithm it uses to choose which to delete, alludes me). This is a very annoying design implementation of an email client, especially when considered in the context that the email client automatically back fills manually deleted email.
(2) Secondly, if you have multiple email accounts the Samsung email client makes it nearly impossible to receive email in one account but answer it in another.

The Samsung implementation of a Text Messaging client has the peculiar design of not automatically opening to the newly received message from another sender.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: poor email client implementation, less than average text messaging implementation

I have a white one; husband has a black one. We love learning all the features of this phone! Have attended the Verizon classes and watched the U-tube videos. Am now teaching a small class at our tiny library on smartphones. Two of my friends have the Note 2 and two just picked up their Note 3s! Two more friends are interested and will probably purchase very soon. We love the large screen and only wish we could figure out how to "see" the screen in extremely bright sunlight (we live on an island....lots of bright sun). Verizon is the best carrier in our area. I'm now in the market for a good price on a Samsung tablet (10"-12").
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, best phone around!, large screen but fits in pocket, s pen

Love the Stylus and note taking ability

Above the fact that you can use it for anything just about, it's still a phone that I have become hooked on. I wonder what's coming out next?

The easiest phone to use

This is my first smart phone and I was pretty anxious when I bought it. The phone guided me pretty much on how to get started, Every section has a help button to guide you. Very user friendly I'm not techy at all. I love all the photos this phone takes awesome quality and love the new Milk app. The Samsung and Play store is easy to use when wanting to download games, music, movies and apps. Try this phone you will fall in love.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

I switched from an Iphone to the Note 3 because of screen size. I am a nursing student and I am constantly having to use my phone to google things, and the bigger screen made it nice to see the webpages. The camera is very nice too for taking pictures. I do not have one negative thing to say about my phone! I love it! I would recommend to anyone!!
