Phone would be fine if Samsung would look at the OS update

This phone was a great phone until the OS update to KitKat 4.4.2
The issues began the very day I installed 4.4.2, the screen kept freezing when I tried to just turn it on and use the phone. A friend suggested I clear out my photos and stuff (I don't use an SD card). I did that, and it let up a little bit. So I deleted all of the apps I didn't absolutely need, which was most of them. I installed them back one each day, making sure it wasn't any app causing the problem. As I racked up more photos, it became more frequent. So I just didn't keep photos on the phone.
After a few weeks and a few mysteries in communication, I realized that most of my texts were not reaching my friends, nor were their texts reaching me. Phone calls weren't going to voicemail. Photos were all of a sudden very blurry, as the shutter was staying open longer with very slow writing to the hard drive. The phone would get very hot at random times, when I was using it and when I wasn't. And after 2 weeks, that's when I noticed the battery needed to be recharged daily... then, big surprise, my charger was no longer recognized and the phone wouldn't charge... and then died.
Messages and calls not going through, though, well, that's no longer a phone, and I'm paying for nothing.
Samsung, I hope you are working on this and looking to find a way to work with Google and the cell phone carriers to fix this, otherwise, I'll not be recommending to anyone I know to purchase any Samsung products. A lot of people come to me for advice on that kind of cell phones to buy, and for now, I can't suggest your products.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: updates have ruined phone

Samsung Galaxy note 3 battery Charging Error

I get a error message "To charge faster, use the cable and device that were provided with this phone" when charging my Samsung Galaxy note 3. I took it to a store last week and they said it has something to do with the last software update. They tried charging it at the store and got the same message. I was given another phone, I still get the same error with the new phone.

Every since the Galaxy line of phones have been released I've been nothing but appalled. I can honestly say I'm the most anti iPhone person on the planet and my galaxy note 3 backs me up... the long way!...
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, winter glove accessible, sleek design and almost hand slip resistant

The Samsung note 3 is overall a great phone for experienced smartphone user. The performance and features are what drew me to the phone. It's practically a p.c at your fingertips. All of samsung features as always are the beezneez. Watch on is my new favorite..being able to control all the t.v.s in the house with my phone. Another home run for Samsung.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: with all the performance capabilities slow at time

This Product has many problems

I have had my Note 3 for almost a year now and 3 times I have lost my Camera Folder with all my pictures in it and after researching online evidently this happens to a lot of people. Samsung is not willing to do anything about it, so it's very frustrating. Also you barely have any control over the settings on your phone, it automatically updates even though you do not want it to and I can't find where to turn that off, it does not have USB Capabilities like the Note's before it, they took that option away. This is not a product I would recommend.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, expensive

I really like this phone because of the many different features, I learn something new about my phone everyday. But what I absolutely HATE about is it that when my niece played with the pattern on my phone and locked me out I couldn't remember my pin. That was fine because I can go online and unlock it and can answer in coming calls. But I'm not even able to dial 911 if there is an emergency and that makes absolutely no sense for this phone to be as expensive as it is. PLEASE FIX THAT.
