My Note 3 is a replacement for my s4. The s4 was my first smart phone and the Note 4 was on my list but I wasn't sure about the Note 4 being so large so I got the s4. Recently I decided the s4 was just a little small and I had an opportunity to get the Note3. The battery life is much better and the screen brightness is better. It is a little large but I like the larger screen size. The processing speed is better and I like having a stylus for detail work. The Note 4 is a good fit for how I want to use a smart phone.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
I would recommend this to a friend!

Faulty USB 3.0 port

I don't know if this defect came from a returned phone, sold to me, at Best Buy, or if it actually was a factory defect. The USB 3.0 port is loose, and as time goes by (year +) it gets worse. I'm charging with a 2.0 cable, because the 3.0 is intermittent. I'm out of warranty (my fault). I will say I LOVED my Galaxy S4, so it's not so much Samsung, I think. Just THIS phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This phone has been the best phone I have had so far. I've been through a lot of phones and my note 3 has held up the best. I get frustrated with phones that have little computing power and get slowed down easy. Not with the note 3. I can do whatever I want whenever I want with this phone. Pull out the s-pen and the game changes. Jot down notes real quick or someone's phone number with s note. I also use the s-pen to open a window to multi task instead of switching back and forth through screens. All of the phones before this note 3 have failed either in performance or calabilities. The camera features on the note 3 are also amazing. 360 panaramics. Sport shots. Multi shots. Just to name a few. This is not a phone for someone who doesn't like features.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, camera features, s-pen

I've been carrying a cell phone since the early nineties. I've had basically every major cell phone manufacture at one time or another, I can say with 100% confidence that the Samsung note is hands down the best phones that I have ever had.
