The only thing I have noticed that it needs is for the volume button to controll the volume for everything so there wouldn't be a need to manually set each sound's volume.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

This phone blows my mind with all its awesome features. I love the handwriting to text function. I love how large the phone is because I have long fingers and couldn't seem to hold smaller phones for very long, whereas this phone fits my hand just perfect! I love how smart this phone is, I've almost thought of giving it a name hahaha!

This is by far the best phone I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of phones. The screen size is nice and big and is crystal clear. I love the fact that it has a micro sd card slot. This makes it gray for taking lots of pictures and videos and storing loss of music with out taking away from the internal storage. The combination of the very fast processor and 3gb of ram means it is never slow no matter how many programs are open or which intensive program is being used. Hands down the best phone there is.

Great all around phone

This is the best phone I have owned. The speed of the phone is great! At first it feels weird with a huge phone but it is really easy to get the hang off. It takes great pictures and Samsung has alot of great camera settings to choose from. And the S Pen is definitely great to have.

Truly the Best of Breed

After years of loyal iPhone use, I finally got fed up with its closed architecture and the insistence that I should only be allowed to install "approved" Apps and anything else was forbidden (thus requiring a Jailbreak to get a phone configured the way I liked and Apps installed I needed for my job.
After much agony I spent weeks at stores and on the internet testing and researching the leading top end smart phones. It seemed clear to me that the Galaxy S5 was the phone I had long wished for, but never experienced, so I purchased one.
Love at first sight!!!
In over 5 decades of designing, using, teaching, and configuring computer systems, this is beyond reproach the most exciting, best designed, and satisfying computing device I have ever experienced.
Its speed, battery life, configurability (without resulting to Jailbreak hacks), incredible screen brilliance and resolution, and excellent and extremely versatile camera make this the phone I wish I had always had.
Being able to install an inexpensive SD card to hold my extensive music/video libraries was a real plus, and to be able to have a replaceable battery was incredible.
I could not recommend a phone any higher than I do the S5. It is a dream machine that am extremely happy I purchased. It truly is the best of the best!!!

Cons: none!

Great Smart Phone

The Note 3 is a great Smart Phone. Excellent response, speed and ease of use. The addition of the S-Pen makes it even more fun. I recommend this to anyone wanting a good overall Smart Phone.

I know you can never convince young people with young eyes that big cell phones are the way to go, but for older people 'they are the bomb!' ;-)
Seriously like the phone, and if you have used an Android phone before you will have no issues moving to this phone. The only thing that might be different from your previous phone, might be the location of the "back button", for me it was on the other bottom left on my previous phone, and is now on the right on this phone. Also the power button location is different. But these two changes are something you adjust to quickly, probably a couple of days at most.
So, as to negatives, like all the larger phones, I wish there was a longer battery life. I have no problem getting through a day on the battery, but I do charge it every night.
Also, while I would say the screen is bright, it is NOT bright enough to see if you are out in the sun.
While the phone is large, it will still fit in a dress shirt pocket, although it peeks over the top a bit. It also will fit in a front pants pocket (I don't trust having it in a rear pocket).
All in all, I view this as a great phone and wonder what the next generation will bring?
Pros: Durable, large readable screen, reasonable battery life
Cons: screen could be brighter for outdoor viewing
