It worked as expected. Bought it back in June 2015 and have not used it that much, maybe 10 or 15 times tops. Last time I used it and put it away and a week later tried to use it again and it simply did not turn on! I am so disappointed. No hard use or abuse. Always careful to use with clean filter to avoid issues and it will not power up at all. Dead! Lasted 15 uses and died.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nothing more handy than my little DirtDevil Stick

This is my third #DirtDevilStickVac. The suction power of this little stick is amazing. It performs better than any other stick brand I've used this last 15 years and is my third Dirt Devil product during that same time frame. They never break down, I simply upgrade to the next one every once in a while just to try "what's new." Nothing is more convenient for grabbing just to do a quick once-over before company arrives, or to switch to the oh so handy hand vac option for quick touch-ups on my fireplace hearth. I use mine on both carpet AND my hardwoods. The savvy pricing makes it my go-to value brand. Can't beat a #DirtDevil. Highly recommend, indeed.

This is the 3rd dirt devil vac I've purchased. I love it for my tile and hardwood. we have 3 dogs and it does a great job of getting the dog hair. I keep going back to what works! With the attachment, I also clean in nooks and crannies and even on the ceilings. Love this vac!

Thought this would be a good idea for using on my carpets between using my vacuum. Not so. The dust cup does not hold anything, cat hair and dirt goes right through it, clings to the outside of dust cup and goes way to bottom of unit. You have to dig it out with your fingers. The dust cup can only be inserted one way - have inserted it that way and pushed down so it fits tight (the last time I used it I even put tape all around it so that was no way for the dirt to escape that way. When I opened it up the dust cup was clean on the inside of it but the outside was full of cat hair, etc along with stuff at the very bottom of unit. You have a good idea but it does not work!! I am very disappointed with it! Will never buy a dirt devil machine of any king again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi debr! We don't want you to feel disappointed in your Simpli-Stik vacuum. We want to help. It sounds like there may be a crack in the dirt cup or the dirt cup is not seated properly if there is dust escaping. This can also be caused from the filter needing to be cleaned. Please remove the filter from inside of the dirt cup and tap it out over the trashcan. When reattaching the dirt cup please align the tab on the bottom first, then pivot it forward to lock. It is so quick and easy to use to clean carpets. I use it often as it cleans well. I like that it's easy to empty canister Andy it's durable as I have had it around 5 years.
