Greatest phone EVER!

this phone is great..Too Big, No Way..Stylus works great, in fact everything on the phone works Great..Sound works good, With ICS this would be the ultimate cell phone out yet..
However, I took it back after 3 days.. On WiFi, the phone was really fast..On cell service it was really, really slow..
This will be a Great phone when you provide it to a good carrier.
Pros: Bright display, stylus
I would recommend this to a friend!

ICS Update via Kies only? USB Connectivity is Lousy!
on July 28, 2012

Phone was great right out of the box. Apps are great and overall, I have really enjoyed this phone. However, since trying to update to ICS, I have had increasing issues with USB connectivity, Kies operation in relation to Samsung's servers, and have not yet been able to update to ICS. My satisfaction with this phone has dropped to as low as possible. If you're looking for a smartphone, keep going and do not consider the Galaxy Note.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor to no usb connectivity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Note - Went back to iPhone

I purchased the Note a few days ago as I thought it would be a good choice between a phone and a tablet. Unfortunately, the size is too big for my hands which have arthritis. The features are great but it's just too big. Also as a long time iPhone user I was having a problem getting used to the Android operating system. The biggest fault is it doesn't sync readily with a computer unless you buy 3rd party software. I returned it today for a new iPhone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, poor synchronization
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery Charging issues..

I recently switched over from being on the androids competitors side for many years. I was nervous at first it being my first android phone and all...but I immediately fell in love with the phone after using it for a few minutes...ONLY problem is I dont know if the phone is defective but after charging overnight for at least five hours my battery only went up to 60 percent and it lasted about four hours before it was at 15. I've been searching on the web to see if theyre is an easy fix if not ill have to exchange it tomorrow I've only had the phone for about 24 hours and its glitchy hopefully it was just a bad apple.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight, pen
Cons: battery defect, charging defect
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was waiting for this phone for a while.... worth it?

I've been a solid supporter of Iphone since the beginning. Argued with my friend about iphone and ios compatibility vs * devices and android. Not wanting to be a hypocrite i finally purchased a galaxy note. Screen is sweet! Better than most tabs for reading, everything else is not up to par. S-pen half of the time is to static- touches the screen before you actually make a contact with it. Bloatware is terrible. I don't get my texts, because the phone is confused of which app to use. Switching from Iphone 4(single core 800ghz, 512mb ram) to Galaxy Note(1.5 ghz dual-core, 1gb ram) and the Iphone seems much more smooth, in scrolling through web pages and app screens. I can go for a while. Let me know what is your oppinion of this and if you think that the next Android OS will fix most of this issues.
Sincerelly, yours PearseD
Pros: Lightweight, good for reading
Cons: Did not meet expectations, read above
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's wrong with the Bluetooth Dialing that worked so well on Captivate?

I am frustrated that the bluetooth dialing function no longer works like it did on the Samsung Captivate. On the Captivate, I was able to push the button on my bluetooth and the phone would wake up and allow me to voice dial. Not with this slug. I have to push the power button, enter my pin and then... maybe... I can then connect via bluetooth.... why did you change that feature? Both phones are gingerbread operating system. Vastly different in operation of bluetooth, though...
I may end up taking it back. Voice dialing is the main use I have for any phone I have. I travel a lot in the car, and voice dialing is a must....
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, love the larger screen
Cons: Did not meet expectations, lousy bluetooth connectivity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
