So far this machine is great. After a few months of owning, this dryer keeps impressing me. The moisture sensor works great. If you have an item of clothing that you don't like to dry all the way because of shrinkage, you can set the machine to stop at different levels of "dryness". Works like a charm. I can dry sweaters about half way and not have to keep looking at my watch to check the time. The machine turns off when it senses the material is still damp, but not wet.
We had a hard time adjusting to the low volume of water in the machine during washing. This is not what we were not used to after all these years of using a traditional washing machine. Old dogs can learn new tricks! After 6 weeks we are still not sure that this was for us - but we are hopeful that we will get used to it.
This dryer is great. We've had it for about a month, and so far it's been working great. Everything gets dried thoroughly and quickly, with plenty of specialized cycles to meet all of our needs. The steam cycle is great for refreshing my work shirts.
I have not figured out what settings to use to make things come out of this "dryer" dry. I had a Whirlpool before, and this one is no better than the old one was, but it had dried better when it was newer.
After asking the social network which washer and dryer to get this was the result. The dryer has some pretty bad rattles and vibrations after it's been running for 5 minutes or so. It appears to be related to the plastic base and where it comes in contact with the metal body. Also, the tinted window on the door is pointless where there is no light in the dryer. When you open the door and the light comes on then you can see through it, but that doesn't really make any sense because then you can also see in it since the door is open. :-)
