Great pair with the Axxis washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to go in an ultra-airtight, low-energy use home. Ventless was necessary and this was the easiest and most affordable machine to get (compared to other European brands).
The dryer is large enough to dry an entire load taken from the washer, which has a slightly smaller drum. However, we rarely use the dryer immediately after washing. Unless we need something dry right away, we pretty much hang everything that comes out of the washer. We're in Colorado, so things dry quickly no matter the season. Then, for the items that are dryer-friendly, we toss them in the dryer for a 20-minute air fluff session or a 20-min timed dry session with a fabric sheet. Now that's low-energy. And we keep a little humidity in the house.
The washer and dryer are in a dedicated laundry room that's about 6x9 and when we do run the machine for a full-cycle, there is a slight increase in the air temperature in the room, but nothing like what others have described. We have a whole-house energy recovery ventilator with an exhaust duct in the laundry room, so overheating the room is not that big of a deal.
The dry cycles are longer than most people are used to, but there's a dryness sensor, so even if the display says 2 hours and 20 minutes when the cycle starts, it won't run that long. There are four dryness levels you can set, so if you aren't getting things dry enough, change the setting. We've never had to.
The machine is quiet, the beep at the end of a cycle is pleasing, and it feels well-built. Highly recommeded.

Sheets can tangled and do not dry
on August 2, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did not need a condensate dryer but that was all that was available at the time of purchase. The drying cycles are very very long. The drum size is small and spins in one direction. Even twin sheet set can tangle is a large mess and do not dry in one cycle.

Disappointed. Expected more from Bosch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dryer 4 years ago. I was excited to buy a Bosch. Had to have ventless due to condo restrictions. Even after 2 hrs of drying, sheets are still damp. One way tumbling turns sheets into a ball that doesn't dry. Puts out a lot of heat into the room. The controls don't make sense. The lint trap area collects with lint and is hard to clean. No, I wouldn't recommend.

Why we hate Bosch
on February 8, 2020

We bought this unit over others because Bosch had such a good reputation. Unfortunately we found it supper slow and for small loads only. Case in point one sheet at a time. If both bottom and top sheets are loaded the machine stops every few minutes reporting that the drain is stopped. We check that and find no problems. We keep the drain low so the pump does not work hard. What else can we do? We called your local service rep and the prices they quoted are almost enough to purchase a standard dryer. We keep the machine clean as the day we bought it.

Ventless is terrible
on November 1, 2014

I bought the washer and dryer to save space. I have no complaints about them doing a good job. My wife is not real happy with the length of time it takes to wash clothes, but is satisfied with both the washer and dryer. I feel the washer vibrates quite a bit and the vent-less dryer is horrible. On an 82 degree day the first of October, my air conditioner ran the whole time the dryer was running to keep the house at 76 degrees. Bosch should offer both venter and vent-less in this size unit.

Nice machine - but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my machine 9 month ago and it works well. I especially like the ventless feature. There is however a problem in that the signage on the control panel is wearing off and soon I will not be able to tell what the settings are. This is something that needs to be corrected!!!!

Bosch washer and dryer
on December 14, 2016
Posted by: anne
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer and dryer about 2 years ago. I am happy with the washer so far but the dryer is not what I expected to be although this set was too expensive. The dryer bundles up the items, mostly sheets and towels in a roll and tries to dry them in that condition. I have to open the door several times to separate the items and try to dry them out. I get frustrated and get the items out before they dry and hand them out on a line inside the apartment.
