I bought this washer in 2012 and am happy with its performance, but it has rusted near the bleach dispenser opening.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features and low water usage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new machines! The washer adjusts the water level for each load so you don't use as much water...and in Arizona our water rates are quite high so this is a wonderful benefit. The washer has a huge capacity. We had out of town guests this week, and when they had left, I dumped all of the towels into one huge load and they washed up great! Did the king and queen sheets together and they came out just fine. I was hesitant about the low water and the possibility of whites graying like I have seen in front loaders, but my whites are staying white.
One feature I use quite a bit is the one where you pre-program your favorite wash cycle. I like a shorter wash cycle using cold water with a high spin. Program the "favorite" button once and you have your most used wash at the touch of a button. I love the other cycles too, like the towel and sheet cycle, or the jeans cycle...I just don't use them as often as my "favorite".
Like I had mentioned, the tub is huge...which also means a shorter person, like myself, has to really reach in to get articles off of the bottom. But I found that the tub turns easily so I just turn the backside to the front then I can reach those items too!
The washer is quiet also. It makes different sounds than the old agitator models did. The spin cycle still sounds like it is about to take off...just not as loud as my older washer sounded. And, in this house, they are much closer to the family room than they were in the other house, so they really are much guieter than my old pair.
I have had my pair for just over a month now and have given them a good workout with all the guests that were here. I am really pleased with my new washer and dryer and have already recommended them to several friends. The guests we had are considering them for themselves too after using mine!
Another BIG consideration for me was that the washer is not 'front' loading. I don't want to have to "wash my washer" to keep it from having a moldy smell, or have to dry off the door and all the seals to keep it from molding.
Low water usage, useful features, big capacity, top loading are all things wonderful about the machine. Price took us by surprise, but my old GE Profile (left at the old house) is still going after 15 years. So if this set lasts as long, I'm happy!
I would recommend this to a friend!

RUSTED

The whole washer rusted out and has mold. I have keep the top open when not in use.
Plus, I cleaned the washer every two weeks. Now I need to buy a new washer because it didn't hold up with all the rust and mold.

Functional but not user firendly

This product is programed to certain cycles, but no one will tell you what the cycles are. It does clean the wash, but it can easily get off balance and shut down without finishing. If the load is off balance you can not just reposition and spin out the water. You have to use rinse and spin and it gets off balance again. Mostly it works okay, but I will look for another brand that gives the user control of the cycles.

great washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i originally wanted a front loading washer and dryer but the way our laundry room was laid out, they wouldn't work so i had to settle for the top loader. i really like the washer and dryer though. they have all the features of the front loader. the only thing i don't like about it is the machine has to be completely stopped and door unlocked before you can do anything like add something. i like to be able to have the door open and water running in to rinse out detergent bottles. i like the clear lid though so you can see what is going on in the washer. overall, i really like the machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know how it works without the agitator, but this thing cleans like no one's business. I love the sync with the dryer and the quick clean cycle.
