Loved that you could take still shots while video taping. Great for tapeing kids sports and dance recitials. Got awesome pics of my daughters karate kicks thatvway
The Note 3 has been a solid phone for me the past 2 years. The size is a little large for most people one-handed, but it's good for me (I'm 6'3"/190cm tall) and I have dropped it and damaged the plastic edge, but it seems to have saved the screen (I immediately purchased an otterbox case to avoid further damage). Battery life could be better and the phone is frequently slow to respond-- or I'm just impatient.
I love the S pen, the hands free features, the screen size and quality. I like the base Android experience, but Samsung's interface isnt too bad and I like the consistency across Samsung phones (I've had a Captivate, S3 and the Note 3).
Overall, if you are close to power and can keep it charged, I recommend the phone. I'm contemplating the Note 5 b/c I've enjoyed this phone so much.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Too big, battery life is limited
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works fine, no issues i love the attached pen/stylist. Good vieing area. Easy to use.
I bought this 2013 and this phone was the beast. Today at the end of 2015 it's still a beast. Overall rating is 5 stars because it got everything I wasn't even looking for but very happy that it's there which is the S pen, 3 gig ram, expandable memory up to 128gb, snapdragon, 4k video, 13 megapixel camera, blah blah blah...although plastic its very durable and I don't even use a case on this one and it never bend unlike iPhone 6 and never drop a signal by holding it as you normally hold a phone...unlike the IPhone 4 (last iPhone I purchased). Display is an eye candy. Not too big not too small and 4k display. I wouldn't be upgrading this phone for a while especially Samsung decided to remove features I mostly love about this phone which are swappable battery and SD card slot. Hopefully Note 6 will be my next smartphone if Samsung realized what they have done with Note 5.
