Exactly what I wanted

This unit was purchased to replace a lesser quality 10 yo Frigidaire. It is in a rental so it gets daily usage with a family having 1yo twins. The older model was getting noisier and cleaning less. I have to admit this unit is super quiet with good insulation and cleans very well. I have had the tenants test with a couple detergents and Cascade does come out on top with this model. The generic type, "green" detergent was not good in this unit. Overall, this unit is recommended after a short two weeks of service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awful, don't buy this

This machine is noisy, the dishwashing detergent doesn't dispense properly if you fill the lower basket, and if you put utensils in the upper basket and the door does not close properly, it will leak all over your kitchen floor. Don't buy it.

We wanted a dishwasher that would not only clean the dishes to a spotless shine, but one that would be quiet too. This dishwasher does that every single time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Problem Leak
on September 20, 2016

Product was installed by my builder with a new home purchase. The dishwasher was used about every other day since the home was purchased in July 2015. There is a water inlet nut against the left hand interior sidewall which drip leaked into the cabinet. We caught the leak when water came forward toward the toe kick plate, 13 months after moving in. Removing toe kick plate to inspect, and discovered leak dripping off the water valve, approx one drop every two seconds. Followed water path up to the dishwasher water inlet loosened from the funnel and gasket assembly. There is slight water damage to drywall abutting the rear of the dishwasher, and water damage / staining to the wood flooring and subfloor. Examining the basement ceiling, water damage evident through the subfloor, and discovered a dripping leak into the basement. There is water damage to the subfloor, flooring, transverse floor joists and rear drywall. The leaking water was captured by a holiday decorative pillow before damaging more storage. Our builder stated they have had issues with this model leaking from that assembly, but stopping the leak is easy - simply tighten the water inlet nut to re-seat the rubber gasket. This is my first contacting GE about the problem. Please see attached photos.
