I bought the DW with a quiet rating but this one has a high pitch whine when running but service guy said that was normal.

Washes well!

I like this dishwasher because besides washing well, it is not noisy. My previous dishwasher, also a GE, was even quieter. The cycle is long - but for the most part that's ok.

Super clean dishes

Love this dishwasher!!! Put a casserole dish in just like they tell you to with baked on food. I didn't pre rinse or anything. Put the cycle on heavy, used a cascade pod, the casserole dish came out like new. I am totally impressed!!!

This dishwasher seems to do a good job of cleaning, but the silverware baskets are awkward to use and it doesn't hold as many dishes as previous dishwashers I have had. Because of the configuration of the guides in the lower rack, my plates, large bowls, and other items don't fit right and therefore fewer items can be washed in each load. The rinse agent dispenser is difficult to refill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lousy silverware basket

The silverware basket isn't a good design. You have to have the silverware in the slots just right or the door won't close. In addition, it seems to come off the upper drawer too easily.

Bought this about 5 months ago disappointed. Its quiet but the silverware baskets in front are lousy, made cheap the plasitic tops come off constantly the silverware falls into the basket you have to take off the baskets to get them out the silverware doesn't get clean. Really poorly designed. It was really our only option to fit in the spot without a major expense. Ok cleaning but if you don't rinse everything off it doesn't clean well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
