Had a great GE diswasher around 12 years old. Gave to a friend while updating kitchen. New dishwasher Enen better than previous.

This washer is a solid value for the money. There are more expensive washers with more features, but you could do worse.

Super quiet!

My husband commented every time I ran it when we first got it about how quiet it is. It seemed to not clean well in the beginning, but after about the fifth or seventh time or so, it is cleaning thoroughly. It holds a lot. The top rack is nice and deep. Had to get used to the silverware slots. Some of the handles of my tableware are too big for the slots, so I have to open the little lids to the utensil holders.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This dishwasher does not clean the dishes well under any of the normal cycles and takes a very long time to wash. This dishwasher does not dry the dishes well even with the heat dry cycle. It is fairly quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We considered all the major manufacturers recommended by Consumer Reports and friends before choosing our GE, and we are very happy with the choice. It's even better than we expected. It holds a large number of dishes, so we don't need to wash them every night like we used to. This model has two front loading flatware baskets with plenty of room. And it's so quiet that I can't even tell that it's on. .A future improvement might be to make more space for bowls. Other than that--great unit!
