Just what I was looking for

I was looking for a new dishwasher with a stainless steel tub, good cleaning power and simple controls. I've tried the light and normal wash cycles so far. On normal, I left mixing bowls and plates unrinsed to see how it did and everything came out clean. I've used the heated dry and without that. If you don't use the heated dry you will have some drips on the bottoms of glasses, but your plates will be dry. The heated dry removes the water that collects on the cup bottoms. I am getting used to the silverware slots, which is actually nice for cleaning, but takes a bit longer to unload than when they are all bunched together. I have been very pleased with the purchase.

looks great!

I'm giving it 3 stars because when I rated my last GE dishwasher 1 star, they removed my review from the website. I had one delivered, and the door latch was misaligned the door would not shut. Ordered a new one, just had it installed last night, ran it and noticed a large puddle seeping out from underneath. After investigating, it appears to be a tub leak. None of the fittings are leaking. So two defective GE dishwashers in 2 days. Calling the installer tomorrow to come get this piece of junk I'm buying a different brand. Never again GE!

Soap cup never opens

I have had this model for several months, the soap cup never opens. Manual states to make certain no pots or pan handles are hitting it and they aren't. I have to either leave door open when starting (get dirty dishes then) or open the tray manually during the wash cycle. Stay away from this model.

Not sure

Not sure, about this dishwasher. I have problems with the powder detergent dispenser opening. I need to be very careful how I load the dishes. This is a pain. I'm not sure about the silverware trays placed on the front of the racks. Time will tell if this dishwasher will last, glad I bought an extended warranty.
