works ok, design in tub needs work

works well. silverware trays are a poor design, constantly fall of, showing lots of wear even after 6 mos.

This is absoloutely the quietest dish washer I have ever had, I keep going back to listen to see if I turned it on. Love the choice of using the upper rack, lower, or both. Cleans supper controls are in perfect place. Highly reccomend but not in the stainless steel , I have used every reccommed product for cleaning stinless but never gets it totally clean and Iwear my arm out trying, I bought all stainless appliances....they are wonderful except for the stainless. Refrigorator is starting to rust on outside of door and its only a year old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Washes great only 1 problem

I do love the looks of this dishwasher and it cleans everything perfectly. The only complaint I have is that if you put your silverware in the middle of the bottom basket, the detergent receptacle won't open.

GE Stainless Steel Interior Dishwasher

This GE Dishwasher is a replacement for another GE Dishwasher that was 20 years old!
Now, we didn't use it everyday for 20 years but enough that by the time this beautiful new GE arrived, we did not have to "hear" the B-52's in our kitchen anymore! Our new GE is awesome and we have to make sure it is running because it's soooo quiet.

Door Closure Issues

I used this dishwasher for 3 months and have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it does an exceptional job of cleaning and is very quiet when running. On the other hand, we have had trouble engaging the door to start the unit, to the point that we had to have a GE serviceman come. He did some adjustments which improved the condition some. However, we still must exert more pressure to close the door, to make contact for starting, then what should be. Also, the instructions for starting is not very clear for the control panel on the front versus the top of the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a bad diswasher. Cycles take a long time to complete. Top rack wants to keep sliding in while loading glasses and bowls. Dishwasher is quiet.
