Worst ever

If I could give the DW zero stars, I would. First, it does NOT get the dishes clean unless you want to completely wash them before you put them in the DW, and I mean completely wash them before! I have never been so disappointed in an appliance as this one. At first, we thought something was wrong, so we called the repairman. But, we were told that the "newer" DW use very little water and that that was just the way it was. I literally have to run this DW at least twice to get the dishes halfway clean. It takes about 2 and half hours to run the cycle one time! It doesn't even dry them on the heat dry cycle. The dishes are dripping wet when you take them out. It's just ridiculous. This supposed to conserve energy?????? Not when you have to run it 3 times to get clean dishes. If we weren't moving, I would throw this thing in the trash! I'm not kidding. If you're even thinking about this DW, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Piece of junk.

Prongs in lower drawer not close enough causing plates to fall over. You have to put plates in at an angle. Also packets of dish soap on occasion do not fully dissolve and I have to run cycle twice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great dishwasher, nice and quiet. However the only thing I would change is the start feature. Once you start the dishwasher cycle, if you open the door to add a forgotten dish, fork, etc. you must press start again for the washer to continue. Just a small issue that takes getting use to.

Not quite what I expected

Bought this w/ other Stainless GE appliances as part of a kitchen renovation. I've had good experience w/ GE in the past so we decided to use GE again. During the 1st week or so of use I couldn't get a clean load, detergent residue on the door, wet dishes, not fully cleaned...we were VERY FRUSTRATED. After trial & error with every possible cycle/setting combination I found the trick: put the silverware organizer w/ the indent on the bottom rack & the full size one on the upper rack...this seems to allow the detergent dispenser to fully open. Bye the way photos from GE showing the interior have the silverware racks the other way around...one would think that's how they should be used - but it's not! Since moving the two racks around the dishwasher has worked fine. I am concerned about the longevity of the seemingly flimsy door latch. This unit is still more difficult to load (and seems smaller inside) than the old dishwasher I just got rid of but at least I can now get a clean & dry load of dishes done.
This is a very quiet unit which we all appreciate!
