DISHWASHER - POWER SAVING FEATURES

Purchased in late April 2014. Like everything about it with exception of top silverware/accessories fixed basket slots which hold items too large to go into the lower level slotted basket rack. The middle vertical slot on top allows you to put larger silverware vegetable, forks and long ice teaspoons etc. If a large spoons slip down, the rounded edges get caught in the horizontal slats at the bottom of the basket and take a bit of ingenuity to get them released so you can put the clean items away. Other than this one inconvenience, the dishwasher runs very quietly and efficiently.

the look of this dishwasher is terrific, very sleek. the performance leaves a bit to be desired. it doesn't clean well except when on the top cycle and i find it awkward to load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The interior is great but the soap dispenser door doesn't always open automatically so, just leave it open all the time.

Sparkling Wine Glasses & Dishes!

This is my 4th GE Dishwasher over a period of 50 years, and its the best! My dishes sparkle, its so quiet that it doesn't wake me at night, and I find the design of the bottom shelf seems to accommodate more dishes than previously-owned GE Dishwashers. I make good use of the Wine racks and the silverware holders. GE continues to be made in USA.
Of the features that could be improved...wish that I could determine how far into the wash cycle it had progressed (for late additions), and wish the rinse container had better visibility when rinse agent level is low.

Does not appear to provide enough pressure the thoroughly rise and constantly still have soap in the door... I have had plumber out to check line and it appears to not be an issue.

Disappointed by out-of-box quality

When I removed the box from the dishwasher, I found one of the leveling legs (right front) was not square to the bottom rail, so the leveling pad is not flat on the floor. The problem is with the tapped threads, so no fixing that. Also, the tub flange in the upper right corner was bent back and had to be straightened with pliers before installing the trim pieces. Please pass this on to the factory, as there was no damage to the box.

Selected this dishwasher from options available from builder. Very quiet runnings and nice features. Dishes come out sparkling. Occasionally have problem closing the door and haven't figured out why yet, but assume it's due to something blocking in--likely in silverware rack.
I would recommend this to a friend!
