Not too happy with this D/W other than the tall tub. If I load heavy down below and forward, it fall into the tub with a bang, still can't seem to get the programs I want to do what I want. If you load differently than what the directions say, dirty dishes. The holes for the silverware don't work for mine and if I load other pieces such as long knives, the door won't shut.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this in April and have had 3 service calls for door latch not working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This a nice dishwasher. The only problem I have is the eating untensil are loaded in front, it is hard to get both sides cleaned. also my knifes have to be put in their slots upside down, since the handles are too big for them. I can use the end utensil holders by lifting the covers, sticking the knives through the holes and dropping the bottom of the knifes into the bin then close the cover. This way the cutting end of the knives are facing up and will get clean.

Suspect "New" Washer installed.

bought new house a month ago and selected this dishwasher and could not use it for almost two weeks as it would not go into wash cycle so called service and first technician couldn't get it to run and ordered new control panel and second technician had trouble also so he called GE Central, I presume, and it turns out the washer was set to demo mode so it wouldn't go into wash cycle so GE Central told him how to disengage and it worked and has since bee working. Because the dishwasher was in demo mode I'm assuming we received a used new one from a show room someplace as a couple of the dark blue screens covering the utensil holders are broken. My advice to unsuspecting buyers is to have the seller/installer sign a guarantee that it's a new washer and not one used in a show room for a demo that has been used.

I bought this when I redid my kitchen and it does a great job without creating a noise problem. At first I was disappointed it did not have a rinse cycle, but it does such a good job cleaning the dishes it isn't a problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!
