I purchased this with the intent of a quieter run time and additional height space inside the drum. Both results are beyond my expectation. The stainless steel tub is an upgrade from my previous model in which I love!

I'm a building contractor by trade. So we did the install. It was a replacement so everything went well. Need to use hot water to this machine to make the drying process work properly. We had to turn up our water heater to just over 125 degrees or so, for a good drying cycle. Use sanitize and it will dry anyway. Purchased the extended warranty, because quality control is just not what it was in the past. Just my humble opinion.Would hope that we get 15 years service from this unit. So it will be out of warranty for quite a while. Like the quality of the bins, and slides, very nice feel. SS is the way to go on the inside.

Good but Beware

I bought this dishwasher two months ago. Positives, looks nice, fairly roomy, two cutlery/utensils trays. Negatives, sometimes does not wash well if you have silverware IN THE UTILITY HOLDER in front of the detergent area. Apparently the detergent won't come out fully/properly. Had to have a service call a week after installing. Additionally, when you put heater/dryer on, it dries the plates and lower tray well, but glasses, bowls, etc usually have water that collects on the underside and hence spill when removing. Overall, OK but I have to say, why can't these things be addressed in design. You would think a global company like GE would be able to design something better. I bought this GE DW to match my refrig, oven, range, which by the way all have their little issues. Not what you expect but I guess in this day and age forget the 20 yr appliance that we used to have. Hope this helps.

I bought this in Sept 2013. Really liked how it pepformed. Noticed a periodic leak under the front door and recently called GE service. The tech knew exactly what it was - manufactuerer's defect and was able to replace the part. It continues to provide great performance but can't handle crusted food otherwise great dishwasher!

Cleans Well

Bought this 2 months ago and it works well if you remove the bottom silverware basket from the front of the bottom level and put it inside. Otherwise every time we opened the door after a wash, there was soap left in the soap dispenser. It was hardened and crusted in the dispenser because not enough water was getting to the dispenser. It's very quiet and cleans glasses, dishes, etc. well.

Bought dishwasher and used it maybe twice a week. After only 56 days, the dishwasher's electrical control panel failed.

The first dishwasher was broken altogether. Took us two weeks and three installation visits to get a working machine. Two months later and heated dry stopped working so well prob need another new machine. Good thing we got five year warranty. Wonder how many times they'll have to replace/repair in that time.
