Not the best

Most of the dishes that come out have to be hand dried. Eight out of times there is several items that didn’t get cleaned and I have to hand wash. It doesn’t matter if it is plastic, glass, or metal.

I am seriously disappointed in the two utility shelves on the top rack. One of them never stays up. It doesn't lock in place. The other one only stays up about 50% of the time. We've tried adjusting the prongs. No success. Additionally, when it was first installed, the seal on the left of the front door leaked. We had to call someone out twice to fix it. So, we couldn't use it for the first week of installation. I like the flat front. I like the cleaning on the normal and autosense cyles. The light cycle is not helpful. I am also disappointed that this model doesn't come with a Rinse Only cycle. I think that is a missed opportunity for GE. I also think that the FINISH dispenser for the cleaner is difficult to use fill/refill. so, we just don't use it. Essentially, we paid a lot of money for a unit and only use 80% of the features. too bad for us. Worse for GE because I won't be buying one of their products again. In this house we have a whole suite of GE appliances - dishwasher, range and microwave. We aren't really happy with the microwave either. If the dishwasher was different, it would be perfect.

Constant repairs!

I bought this dishwasher 4 years ago and it was constant repairs!! After it was repaired 5 times I got rid of it and replaced it with a different one.

Quiet but doesn’t clean

I’ve had this dishwasher for about 5 years. It looks good in our kitchen and it’s quiet when it is running.
However, none of that matters if it won’t clean the dishes. I have to clean the filter between every load and even doing that, about 40% of the time many of the dishes need to be rewashed by hand. Frequently, the soap pod does not come out of the dispenser and leaves a gloppy mess.
Now, the heating element has failed and all of the reviews say that it’s not available.
I’m done with this thing!

Never dried dishes and now does not wash.

I purchased this dishwasher approximately 4 years ago. The repair man came out several times during the first two years, always had problems, with the main problem is that the dishes are still wet. Well about 1 month ago the dishwasher quit washing, so now I am back to hand washing and drying my dishes. I will not be replacing this dishwasher with another GE, I am definitely looking into other brands because GE appliances have gone down hill and I seem to be replacing my appliances at an alarming rate of unacceptable.
