Thank you for the hint: "Dishwasher Reset Circuit Breaker." We had tried that once or twice a couple weeks ago, but after finding this website then reading AND following the hint, our Dishwasher is back to life! So glad. Wasn't ready to replace it yet. The part of the hint that helped was "leave breaker off for AT LEAST 2 mins. We turned it off and remembered to turn it back on about 4-5 minutes afterward. Lit up :-) Back in action. Praise the Lord!

In & out stainless, ajustable uper rack, the steam wash I think works only in prewash but is ok ans last but not least the auto sense.

Wow, same thing with my DW. Ran great, cleaned great then started chiming. Did the reset with breaker and that worked for about a year. Repairman said known issue by GE. GE was responsive and give discount on next one but with so many having same issue should have been recall I believe.

Did lasting long.

It fine when it was working. Had this about 3 years it started powering itself on about a month ago and then just stopped working.

Unreliable electronics does not inspire confidence

The control/UI boards on GE dishwashers seem to be a real weak point as reported in many reviews here and elsewhere on the internet. I too started getting the random chimes and eventually the machine would not turn on when starting a wash. Resetting power to get it turned on worked a couple times, but alas that also stopped doing the trick. This dishwasher had less than 10 loads run through it over its lifetime.

Power issues

We have had it for a few years but can see many others with the same issue as us. Power issues turning on and off randomly and beeping we could usually reset by pulling out the plug and putting it back in. But now it is just completely dead. Same issues it seems many others have mentioned. Now I am not sure if we should get a new ge if this has not been repaired in any of the new ones.

Nice, while it lasted.

Like most in the reviews, I hit 4 years on the appliance and lost all power. Reset breakers, unplugged, replugged... Even replaced the power control board which came from GE (Part Order 1056777346) which was DOA. Obviously a broken dishwasher is far from the worst thing on the planet, but I really expected more from a GE appliance, hell, our whole kitchen is outfitted with GE appliances. I really don't want to buy a new one, but I also can't afford to keep trying replacement parts (which are all refurbished at this point).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
