Good dishwasher but short lived

We moved into a brand new construction home and used the dishwasher on average of two times per week. After two years, the dishwasher began malfunctioning. Initially, the circuit board would play “musical tunes” while not in operation and may or may not start when programmed to do so. Dishwasher motherboard was repaired to no avail. Dishwasher would quit working and we noticed the the breaker would be tripped and then would work a few times then eventually quit working all together. There have been numerous people in our new construction neighborhood that have had the exact same issues. Will not purchase another GE again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thermostat Broken

The thermostat is broken and I'm unable to order a new one. Finding a part number for the thermostat alone is next to impossible.

Not Worthy for Any Kitchen

Thia dishwasher is a maintenance headache. Surprised that GE doesnt have any TSB on this model. Very unreliable in comparison to the previous GE that operated over 18 years.

Worst Dishwasher Ever

Never buy this dishwasher. I had recurring issues. I initially replaced UI boar, then door latch, now have to replace mother board. If anyone bought this, and realize you have any isssues, then throw this one out and buy something else instead of trying to fix this. I will never ever buy a GE product again.

Water pump broken second time

We have this dishwasher for 6 years. We got it when we built our house. We have been disappointed in the cleaning of the dishes. We have replaced the water pump less than 2 years ago and now we are faced with it again. Not wasting money fixing it. Will replace the whole unit. Did not hold up.

4 years old and it crapped out on me

Dishwasher should last a lot longer than 4 years with the cost associated with it. Just stopped working, replaced the motherboard and still nothing. Never buying a GE dish or appliance again.

Died too soon

I loved the dishwasher until it DIED four years in. I bought the GE because my last GE dishwasher lasted 25 years. I refuse to pay for repairs on such a new appliance, and I can tell that it's the motherboard failing, which seems to be the common culprit on this page. Looks like GE has lost a lot of customers for this one bad part. I will try to replace it myself. I'm sorry to say, no more GE appliances in my house!
