Dishwasher - Not working

I brought the GE - GDF570SSFSS last August 2015 based on the features we needed in a dishwasher. We have only used the product five times and have not been able to use it afterwards. Every time we have tried to use the dishwasher, the start light flashes and beeps and doesn't allow us to select any functions on the panel (for example: 2, 4hrs/normal or light load, etc.) and will not start. We just want a dishwasher that work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cleans the best with cascade complete. Although on rare occasions, the wash pack does not come out all the way during washing and you open door when finished to find soap powder all in the dishwasher. Then you have to wash again. I will try the liquid next time. But over all I really like this dishwasher.

Dish washer is easy to manage; it's QUIET; and I absolutely love it. I especially like the ease in adding the dishwasher detergent. I was pleasantly surprised at the performance: Everything was sparkling clean.

.Great price. the reviews stated it was quiet and cleans great and they were correct. It is extremely quiet and it cleaned dried egg yolk off dishes and silverware. it cleaned coffee cups with coffee stains. It scrubbed pots and pans. Wonderful and easy to use.

This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever had. Cleans good and dries good.
The only thing I wish it had is top view controls. Have to get on my knees to see controls.
