I have used Norelco shavers for several years. Each one I buy is progressively worse than the previous. This one is by far the worst. The heads inadvertently open during shaving, it takes longer to shave than with previous models, and the trimmer is virtually useless. You can't even see the end of the trimmer blade to see what you are trimming. To top it all off, you have to carry the entire stand with you in order to charge the shaver. I'll keep this shaver a year or so and then I'm going to try another brand. I stayed with Norelco/Phillips due to the name, but after buying this model, I'm through with this brand. I know this won't be read by anyone other than a clerk in the basement, but it's very sad to see how a product has gotten so bad over the years.
Pros: looks good
Cons: difficult to charge when traveling, doesn't cut smoothly, trimmer is difficult to use, shaver heads open during shaving, can't see the trimmer head when trimming
I was a confirmed manual shaver, with only occasional use of an electric razor until I came across this new flexible head design. I now use the "SensoTouch 3D" as my exclusive shaving method, and have never used a manual razor since. As I have relatively sensitive skin, the ability to quickly obtain a really close shave without the nicks and cuts produced by manual shaving was the primary need and the deciding factor.
Pros: very close shave easy on sensative skin, rapid easy water clean-up, long lasting battery charge
Lightweight but well-built; cuts smoothly and close.

I bought this product after using an older Norelco that was at least a decade old. I was very pleasantly surprised to find how lightweight it is, but also solidly built. It cuts smoothly and close. It holds its charge very well, too. Easy to clean.
I have found through trial and error that you will have less irritation if you shave your most sensitive areas first, for me it's the lower part of my neck. As the unit warms up the heat that transfers to the cutting blade surface increases the longer it's being used. I also use it to shave my head and it does an awesome job! This is the 3rd iteration of Norelco's 3 headed shaver that I've owned and by far it's the best.
Pros: ergonomics make it easy to use, close clean shave.
I have been diagnosed with cancer and advised not to shave with a blade shaver. Years ago I used a Phillips poduct and I liked it so after reiew of your curent product line I bought a 1250X. The wet shave that I get with using a foam product is as good as my blade without any fear of cutting cutting myself. I also like the ability to clean my unit by just washing it under the faucet.
