Best shave (wet) that I have had with electric--only comparable is when a standard blade shaver is new.

All shaves in wet mode (with Edge shaving cream) have been superb for over 6 months. The quality is equivalent to a standard blade shaver when it is new. Unfortunately, in dry mode, the shaves are not as close. The battery has held up well with no degradation as compared to other Phillips wet shavers I have used. Cleaning is easy and required, otherwise the cream will build up. It is the best electric shaver I have used.
Pros: close shave in wet mode, great battery life (50 minutes plus)
Cons: dry shaving is mediocre

It shaves very well and the battery life is excellent. The only problem is that there is no socket to plug the AC adapter directly into the shaver. It only can be charged with the shaver placed on the stand. If traveling for several days (>2 weeks) it is necessary to pack the stand as well. Due to the irregular shape of the stand, this may be somewhat inconvenient. This shortcoming is compensated in part by the long battery life, so it is OK for the majority of trips that most people may take, lasting less than two weeks.
Pros: good shaving performance, good battery life
Cons: lack of a socket for the ac adapter in the shaver

I use the shaver every day and I am very satisfied. It does not shave as close as a safety razor but it is so much more convenient and so easy to use. I would recommend this razor.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: not as close as a safet razor

I really like this razor but would make two changes to future models:
Move the off/on switch up further, to reduce the possibility of turning the razor off while shaving.
Have a cord outlet on the razor itself so it would be unnecessary to take the stand every where you go with the razor.

I have used Norelco shavers for years. This is a step up in performance and ease of use. I especially like the quick cleaning. This is a step up. I don't know why I waited so long to buy it.
Pros: ease of use.
Cons: have not found one yet.

I really like this razor. I have a very stiff beard and the razor cuts it without any irritation. It is quiet and smooth. I get about a weeks worth of shaving on a charge. It is easy to clean. My only comment on the design is that it is difficult to shave close to the nose on the upper lip. That is a very small thing compared to how nice all the other features are.

A very Excellent Shaver

The 1250X is an excellent shaver in all respects. The light weight and nimble handling that flexes according to the contour of the face make shaving a very pleasant. it notifies you when recharging is required and it recharges in record time. The side burn feature is superb and the ergonomic shape fits smugly in one's hand. Cleaning is a sinch, just flush under the top with warm to hot water and drain/flash for a few seconds. The little state-of-the-art stand is pretty nifty, too. I would have liked a hard carrying case, for airline travelling, instead of a soft one, but the soft one does the job oK. A very excellent shaver, indeed.
